It's not non-stick. It's cast iron. Learn to use it.
This item is not like your regular nonstick tawa. This is cast iron. Heavy and brittle. It takes some effort to get going with it.First .. see YouTube videos how to clean and season a new tawa.. you cannot directly use it on day 1 . It needs to rest in oil for a day .Season it well .. fry onions on it first ..Use it regularly to get best results.Points to note1. Again, it's not ready to use you should clean it well .. scrub well for almost 10 mins. Wipe dry . Don't use news paper to wipe on tawa ..2. You should use it low to medium flame .. High flame is not advised and won't do good to your food. Yes it takes slightly longer to cook on this tawa ... But you know what comes fast doesn't last long ..3. When in doubt ask and look it up on the internet. There is solution for everything.Dosa getting stuck on this tawa could be because the batter is too cold or tawa is too hot. Use at medium temperature and with diligence.

Looking good but too heavy for handle
I've returned this due to its weight. No one in my home is ready to cook due to its weight and it's fragile in nature. As per the price I bought in 3800/- and in this price range buying a iron is too much costly.Going to local market we can have some better option which comes under 1200/- and same is working on induction too. But these are not cast iron rather than a thick iron sheet. But those are not too heavy and fragile. Even economical. So if you are ready to cook with all these things then go with the cast iron one but before buying consdyonce going to local market.See the last picture which I got dosa tawa from local market in 350/-. In same price segment all other are also available.

Dosa pan
I recently purchased a cast-iron dosa pan and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! It's not just about the convenience of making perfect dosas every time; it's the peace of mind knowing I'm cooking with a toxin-free pan that actually adds a bit of iron to my diet. The heat retention is incredible, leading to beautifully crispy dosas with less oil. It's also built to last and will be a cherished part of my kitchen for years to come. If you're looking for a healthy and versatile cooking option, I highly recommend this cast-iron dosa pan.
