LizanoSalsa Sauce With Vegetables and Spices, 9.46 fl oz (Pack of 2)

If you ever travel to Costa Rica, you'll find this on just about every table. Great on beans and rice, chicken, beef or whatever. Not spicy like hot sauce, but more like seasoned worchestershire sauce or steak sauce. Not easy to find in my local grocery stores so I'm happy Amazon carries it.

Really great stuff. I mostly use it for Gallo Pinto, a popular Costa Rican breakfast dish. You really have to try it to understand what it is. Great on lots of things. On most tables in Costa Rica.

I’ve been using Lizano on my rice and beans (and more) for 15 years now. An old roommate of mine studied abroad in Costa Rica and he would stock up on it from a bodega in NJ when he went to visit his parents. Game changer. I even got my meat-loving husband addicted to my rice and beans dish and it’s really the Lizano that makes it - we’ve been making it every week for years. I don’t understand how this has not caught on in the US yet but I’m glad that I can buy it online and at some international grocery stores here around NY (Food Bazaar) and Long Island (Gala Fresh). It’s cheaper at the grocery store - generally between $4-$6, but I can’t always find it, so I’ve been buying it here more frequently. Just buy it - it’s never disappointed anyone I know - just be forewarned that you won’t be able to live without it.

This is the sauce that was everywhere in Costa Rica. I could never find it in the US, but on a whim, I tried Amazon and there it was! It’s very tasty, a little tangy and not hot. Tastes great on eggs or tacos or wherever you like salsa. I’ll be buying this again!

This stuff is sooooo good. Not spicy hot, but extremely flavorful!

This stuff is legit. Good in its own right and a good alternative to Worcestershire sauce for my girlfriend who’s a vegetarian.
