EDIT: Not that it really matters because looks like this company has flown the coop. I changed my router password and could not figure out if or how to change it in the bell. So I emailed the company and actually got a pretty quick reply saying something about they had notified Amazon and their Support would be contacting me. Well I knew that was BS. Called Amazon and they are going to try to work with me (possibly). I’ve emailed the company again with no response. Oh and the bell won’t even power on now. I sure hate to buy Ring due to the Cloud fee but at least I figure they will be around for awhile.This arrived in a very nice retail box and nicely packaged. The quality and feel of this doorbell was better than I expected. Instructions are great and easily understood. I ran into problems mounting on my old doorbell location because of rounded logs on my log home. Also my doorbell wires are dead for some reason. But the wires were very easy to insert in the two sockets on the back. Didn’t even have to turn off power (before I found out the wires were dead) as the wires were easy to manipulate. You can insert either wire into either socket according to directions. After doing that and bell didn’t work, I had to go with the included power adapter. Lucky I have an outdoor power socket. But had to use extension cord. So my install looks very tacky with a cord stretched across the front of the house but when I get an electrician to fix the wiring, it will look great. For security so no one can steal your doorbell, there is a small screw with a small torx screwdriver that holds the doorbell to the mounting bracket which is screwed into the wall. Very clever! The doorbell connected easily with the icam app. The video is not like HD TV at all but as long as I can see who I’m talking to, I don’t care about a somewhat fuzzy image. The app is also great with many features. The only problem I had with the actual product was trying to set the motion and sound triggers. Now, my house is in the woods with no cars or people passing by. In fact it is very still. But with the triggers set as low as possible, both would trigger every few seconds for no apparent reason. So I’m getting multiple notifications on my phone. I finally had to disable both. The sound triggers could only have been set off by birds singing. I have no idea what kept setting off the motion trigger. I would really like to use at least the motion trigger to know if someone comes up who does not ring the bell. I’ve only had one person ring the bell so far. I never have visitors. It was the cable TV guy. It sent the notification and the indoor bell rang just as it should. I could see the guy at the door but I did not initiate a conversation so can’t review that part. I’m very satisfied with the product. I’m going to contact the seller to ask about the triggering issue. Maybe they can do a firmware update to make this less sensitive.

Fairly easy setup. Directions are actually quite thorough. (Make sure you search for iCAM DOORBELL because there are a surprisingly large number of different apps named iCAM in the App Store). Seems like solid construction. Wish the camera resolution was a bit higher but reasonably clear bright images. The app leaves a bit to be desired very barebones...wish there was pinch to zoom or landscape mode. Very slow to connect when not on home network (my other IP camera connects just as fast on cell network as home WiFi so not sure the delay with this one). The motion alarm is a joke, goes off for for EVERYTHING (light shadows, bugs etc...basically useless at any sensitivity setting, had to turn off). Also as far as I can tell the app has to be open at all times to get alerts that the doorbell has been rung...not getting any notifications at all without app being open in background, if anybody knows how to fix this please leave a comment (again my other IP camera just works even with app closed when you turn on notifications, this one does not). Looking at the app update history looks like there haven’t been any updates in a year so I guess they have either stopped supporting the app or else they think it’s good enough as is, I hope they haven’t abandoned it. The doorbell rings outside (quite loud, wish there was a setting to quiet this a bit) and inside with the wall unit. I’ve only had this up and running for a day, I’ll update my review after I’ve had for awhile.

Had nice images when I turned it on. Returned it because I don't have the old door bell wiring or an oulet near my door. I didn't want to buy an extension cord, then drill a hole on my door frame just to get the connector through.

These things are great, I installed 2 using existing wiring. Picture quality is fine, no issues so far, have 32gb cards in each one and record 24/7. Answer door anywhere. Motion/sound detection works but sometimes goes off with nothing there.

I was on the fence about this doorbell...i was thinking that i needed to spend big money to get a good product. But i was wrong...this is a VERY good camera and doorbell. The only issues ive had is with the sound and motion being super sensitive, but i do live in the city and my street is pretty busy other than that this has worked perfect. It was simple to install, connected to wifi easily and my wife is also able to view it from her phone. I just ordered a second one for my daughters new place...im excited to hook it up for her. I mean... you could spend big money on one but why?!

Doorbell can be answered from phone while in the home, however, there are no clear instructions how to use or install notifications to your iPhone while away from home. No alerts to phone and no contact information other than email for support.

I am glad I found this doorbell. I can monitor who is at my front door. Wife loves it good price
