So worth the wait!
I am a big fan of Eve Vaughn so I was eagerly awaiting the release of this book. It was well worth it.When I read the preview I was thinking how is Ashley going to get Skylar back after totally humiliating her on their wedding day? How could he do that? Well the evidence against her is pretty damning. This was not done on a whim. And he sets out to ruin her life - personally and professionally. It's unfortunate that at the first sign of trouble Ashley behaves despicably. Skylar is a good person, a fighter and the light of this story. You know Ashley's got his work cut out for him when he finally realizes he’s made a HUGE mistake. And how is the author going to redeem this guy in Skylar’s eyes? What can he do to get his woman back? Especially when she has the opportunity to move on with someone else? Especially when she has made a good life for herself without him? Especially when she’s always had the love and support of her family to help her survive? The story is told with some flashbacks. The supporting characters are great - the good, the wickedly bad and the very ugly. Skylar’s sister’s reaction to Ashley’s return is right on point LOL! That what family is for. And this story is about family - the impact of a dysfunctional family on it’s members, the healing power of a loving family and the family ties that can forgive and lead to a happily ever after. Thank you Ms. Vaughn for an enjoyable read!

Good But The Ending????
I Love Eve Vaughn books, I can always look forward to an interesting read and this book Jilted is no exception. Misunderstanding happen, but when your afraid of looking at things or a situation for what it truly may be because of the fear of the answer makes you week in my opinion, and I saw Ashley as being week. It takes an a strong person to confront hurt head on and he did not do this. Skylar deserved more, better than what she was given. I love strong woman who don't let their circumstances determine their destiny. Skylar's determination to pick up the pieces is commendable. But, although you forgive others for yourself does not mean that you let them get away with the crime that has been committed against you.Ashely's mother is beyond tolerable to the point that I wanted to reach into the book and slap the living mess out of her. His siblings are spoiled and to me, unrepentant for what they have done, and Ashley himself, well, you have to read the book to draw your own conclusion. I didn't dislike him, I just thought that he wasn't as strong of a man that he should have been.Over all it was a good book, the ending just left me with asking why so soon and no punishment on several points.

I loved this.
This was a really good book. The main characters learned that through the power of forgiving, a happy ending could occur after some misunderstandings, of course.

Too contrived and unrealistic
The entire storyline just seems too contrived and unrealistic. Who, tell me WHO, would go through all of that and (1) humiliate their own self at his wedding (2) take back someone who humiliated her in such a manner and called her a liar (3) NOT report the assault endured on any of the 3 people involved, regardless of how much time had passed (4) NOT out his crappy mother as the fraud that she is - he should be disbarred for showing his mother to even be able to sell any assets left to get in his father's will under a name that was not her legal name and (5) Who would go back into a relationship with a man who did what Ashley did when he supposedly was IN LOVE with her, no matter WHAT reason he had for it?? Absolutely contrived and unrealistic. And as a mother and a Black female, there is no way in the world I would be with such a person after all of that. Ever.

I Don't know if I read the same book the other reviewers read
This book was absolutely amazing! I loved Ashley and Skyler I thought they had a rough beginning because of the whole scandal with the DVD and the pictures But once that was rectified I felt they had great potential. I read a review that said Ashley had no redeemable qualities I have to 100% disagree with that. At the beginning Ashely was pretty terrible understandably considering the situation. But once that's sorted out we get to see who Ashley is and what caused him to behave in the manner in which he did. From that point forward Ashely is pretty much perfect and does everything he can to get his family back. I don't know if the author changed the story or changed the characters But the Negative reviews are off base. I respect Skylar and feel that she is a very strong Character Who was afraid of having her heartbroken again but once she let herself be vulnerable with Ashley it was beautiful. I actually went into this book thinking I was gonna get a horrible story so I was hoping for the best but expecting the worse and almost regretting that I purchased the book but once I began reading I realized that none of the negative reviews made any sense. I'm happy I purchased this book because it was truly a great book!I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good IR HEA

Emotional Well Written Story
A moving, emotional read about how a mother can ruin her son's life with evil ways. Skylar is a beautiful black woman who is in love with Ashley Harrington, wealthy lawyer. At the wedding in front of everyone he believes a horrible, dvd, yells at Skylar and leaves her behind at the altar. She goes and tells Ahley that she is carrying triplets and he continues to believe she is lying. 5 years later he sees one of the twins and it is obvious he is the father. Along this rough road after painful years of raising these babies with her mom and sisters help she has decided to have Ashley in their life. Extremely emotional storyline throughout. Well written with lots of drama and intrigue and betrayal.

Fabulous Story
It was touch & go there for some time, Ashley was a first class ***** with the name calling, that was wicked, but he was manipulated as well, some say he should have investigated when it happened but, it wasn't mentioned to be, your characters are something else, Tristan, Finn and Harper, I nearly cried when Ashley first met his children, what a beautiful moment,This is a beautiful story and i recommend fine reading,I will be reading this story again.Thank you Eve Vaughn, for a perfectly fantastic book.

Maravilloso
Novela maravillosa.

LOVED, LOVED this book!
I LOVE Eve Vaughn's work, and have yet to be disappointed by any of her books I've read so far. This book was no exception, it had me up at all hours; hooked and on complete lockdown. Ashley and Skylar's story was gripping, gritty and teeming with drama. My heart was in my mouth and tears were stuck in my throat and in my eyes the whole time I was going through it. In as much as I understood Ashley's back story and why he was the way he was, I didn't understand the decisions he made AT ALL. He's lucky that in Skylar he had such a gorgeous woman with so much humility and heart. Were it me in Skylar's place, I would NEVER have touched him with a barge pole EVER AGAIN, and I can see a lot of readers hating him for everything he put Skylar through.Ashley's family and his best friend, Tim were rotten to the core and treated Skylar appallingly, all because of her skin colour. Poor Skylar stood no chance, when you think even her 'best friend" had the knives out for her! On that basis, Ashley being the intelligent man he's purported to be, ought to have been on HIGH ALERT and questioned the photos and dvd he received in the run-up to their wedding. If he really loved her the way he insisted he did and given the repugnant behaviour of his friends and family towards her, he should have had the sense to question the material, rather than jilt her without giving her the benefit of the doubt. For me personally, Ashley was very self centred and a spoilt little brat, better than his family but still not nice. He did redeem himself in the end, especially in the way he handled his mother. I don't know if the twins will really change for the better, but you can't choose your family. I guess maybe with them, there's a glimmer of hope they could, but I hope he's learnt from all the mistakes he made in the past.I thought the end was a little rushed, and I would've liked to see Tim, Katherine(or whatever her name is) and Ashley's brother and sister really squirm, get their just desserts and really grovel and make it up to Skylar. Even still, if I were Skylar, I'd never trust any of them with my kids, no matter how tight they ever became.
