These are so awesome!
I got one for my son who was moving to Ohio and one for my husband to place on his side of the bed and one for me to place on my bedside. My husband chose the color green, I chose pink, and my son is blue. Now my son can tell who specifically is touching the lamp, mom or dad. We touch the lamp several times a day to let each other know we’re thinking of each other. We’ve had them for several months and they have been perfect. No connection issues and no glitching. We also use the app Which you can tap for your color when you are away from home. There’s also an option For the lamp to go dark after a certain Time of the night and then come back on In the morning. I have been exceptionally pleased. I did not have to set up all three devices together. My son took his to Ohio and set it up and my husband and I set ours up in Georgia. We had no issues. The app is really easy to use. You do have to pay for the subscription, but it’s incredibly cheap and I think the year is maybe 20 something dollars. I went ahead and paid for hours and my sons for the year so we don’t have to worry about it. It’s a small price to pay to know that at any time of the day you can let your loved ones know that you’re thinking about them and they can do the same for you. It truly warms my heart to see The lamp change colors.

Garbage.
Bought this for my mom as a gift and it arrived scratched and has loose pieces inside. I looked passed that and took the worse looking one to my home so we could touch it to show my mom I was thinking of her. To my surprise, the piece of junk won’t let me do anything. The app says it’s connected but the website to connect to another lamp is awful and will not allow me to do anything. Do not buy this horribly made piece of garbage. I will be returning this item.

LOVE IT!
This is perfect to let our grandmother know we are thinking of her. At a young age of 97 she isn’t able to see well to call when she wants to chat or needs something. She can see the color light up and know which of her favorite grandchildren is thinking of her. Easy set up. Yes there is a subscription as noted. With the subscription bonus features it allows you to “touch” your lamp when you are away. I can have this lamp at home and still let my sweet grandma know she is loved and thought of while I’m at work. So cool!

Waste of money
Could not set up. Every time I try to set up and connect the lamps it won’t connect. Also there is nothing in the description of the product that it needs an active subscription to work. What a waste of money and a scam

Sharing love states apart
My best friends and I live in 3 different states. We keep in touch with the lamps. Just seeing it light up makes my heart jump. If we can't see each other often we can at least tell each other were thinking of them. To be very clear the lamps do NOT work without a subscription. Customer service is really accessible and helpful.

Setup is a headache, subscription model is a ripoff
Broken Unit: I was very excited to try this out with a family member who lives far away from me, unfortunately so far we have been unable to get it to work properly. The first issue I had was that I received a faulty unit that did not actually respond to touch gestures as it was supposed to, so while trying to the navigate setup process for over an hour (more on this later), I was finally able to get help from someone in their in-app live chat help feature. After going through a series of troubleshooting steps, they finally agreed that my unit was broken and agreed to send me another. After ~5 days, I received my replacement unit that appears to be fully functional so far, but I still have yet to get it to work with the other unit that my family member has. Furthermore, they asked that I send the broken lamp back using a shipping label they would provide, but the package they sent did not contain a shipping label so I cannot send it back yet. Setup Process: I think by far the biggest issue with this product is the clunky and glitchy App accompanied by it's confusing UI. The setup process is not very linear and is somewhat convoluted, requiring you to jump all around the app just to get the lamp up and running instead of following one singular flow. As an added annoyance, before you can even claim & setup your lamp to make sure it works properly, you have to buy the subscription. And Now, it is nice that they give you a 1 month free trial, but between my back and forth with the customer service and then the difficult task of getting the two lamps to sync up, I have burned through some of the free trial (. When you send an invite to invite someone to your group, you can either use their email or their user ID. I have tried both and neither has worked. There is no clear place where the person I invited can find and accept the invitation. At one point they did receive an email from me, but when they opened their app, there was no invitation to accept. Only finally after trying for the 3rd day did an invitation finally pop up in my app in the manage groups section. At long last we got our lamps to connect, but it really was a saga, and honestly a test of our friendship because there were multiple points throughout the process we were ready to throw in the towel and return the products. Functionality & Price: Once you get it working, it does as it advertises, when you touch the top of your lamp, the lamps in your group also light up with your color profile, letting others know that you have sent them a "touch". I was aware when I purchased it that this was all that the lamp does, however what I did not realize is that it would cost $3 a month per lamp, and because you need a minimum of two for it to even function, that is really 6$ a month. $6 a month for 2 lamps means I would be paying $72 a year just to occasionally send colors to my friend. I should have done my research because I assumed it would be much cheaper, maybe 6$ for the whole year would justify it. For context, I pay about the same amount for 2 terrabytes of cloud storage each year... SO, now knowing that it would cost $72 a year just to use as intended I am seriously considering sending them back for a full refund. Maybe if you could do more with them, like send morse code messages, sync up to music, or even interactive games of some kind using the touch feature, it would justify paying 3$ per year, but not 6$ per month. Profile Settings: When I first created my account, I accidentally used an incorrect email address TLDR: The setup process is not intuitive, and the syncing of lamps requires a fair amount of patience. If you can get the product working after paying the subscription and dealing with the headache, then yes they do work as advertised; you can touch the top of your lamp, and the lamps that are connected to it will light up with your profiles color choice. It feels like there is a lot more they could do with these if they wanted, like syncing to music, allowing for little morse code messages, and other functionalities that would better justify the long setup time and the recurring subscription. The pricing model they are using is definitely a ripoff. The creators of this product need to seriously invest some more time and effort into the interface and flows within the app and really do multiple iterations of user testing before pushing something thats half baked out to the public. Like I said earlier, if one thing is true of the friendship lamp, it will definitely test the patience you have with your friend.

Best long distance purchase ever
I bought this as a family Christmas gift, one was for my mother in love, one for my daughter/ granddaughter (in Hawaii) and one for us. It is the most entertaining game when everyone gets to tapping… you can’t resist the urge to tap. Easiest way to send a little bit of love without having to stop what you are in the middle of doing. Easy enough a 2 year old understands!! Previous reviews were a little confusing, there is NOT a subscription required if you are ONLY using the lamps, if you choose to be notified, on a device other than the lamp, and tap or a device other than the lamp, then you must have the subscription plan. I hope that helps someone else that is considering this delightful piece!!

I bought this for my daughter and granddaughter to stay in touch and in the know. My daughter has shared custody of my granddaughter. I know it makes both feel in touch and not forgotten by one another. It’s a cute way of letting one another know that they are being thought of.
