Battery died. Customer service unresponsive
The scooter was fantastic until the battery died within three months. Customer service simply quit responding to my email. They told me it was a battery issue that I would need to purchase a new one which is almost as much as the original purchase price of the scooter. After spending half an hour waiting to get a person on the phone, I was told that customer service only works via email and would have them reach out to me via email and could do nothing for me over the phone except sell me a new battery Do not buy

First Ride
For one of the few times in my life, I feel I got more than I paid for. I bought two, one for me and one for my wife. We took them to a boat parade at the beach. The traffic is always bad and there’s no parking so we folded them up and put them in the back of the jeep. We parked a couple miles away and rode them in. We are seasoned adults so 15 mph is more than enough speed. We got in and out with no traffic hassle. When we got back to the Jeep, my wife who was apprehensive at first, wanted to ride some more! She says they are her new favorite thing. Battery only went down one bar the whole night.

It's ok
Ad shows mph for the display but the one they sent only shows km. Says it's good for 220lbs but struggles with slight wind on flat ground with me weighing 190. I wouldn't really consider this good for 220lbs if you need to travel over hills. Rear tire loses air slowly. Good enough for the money but I shouldn't have been cheap. It really is just "ok"

Overall Nice Scooter but with a few flaws
Let me first start out with the flaws of this electric scooter from Hoverfly!1. Inaccurate customer service website for Hoverfly not activated /available2. Not a US built product, it's a UK or EU variant. Mine is UK which is why it took nearly two weeks to arrive.3. Replacement parts seems to be very limited for this particular model although Amazon claims to provide product support should anything go wrong. So if you need clarification on how that works then I would strongly contact Amazon Customer support by phone or through chat.4. Cannot switch from kph to mph on scooter like you can on the Hoverfly F1 Model. And in the description there's a picture of the display of the scooter that indicates mph. So that's false advertisement there. Come on Amazon! Now the good things about this electric scooter that I do like about is that the construction of it is very sturdy. Tires are beefy with good treads. 300 watt motor is very strong doesn't feel cheap for the price. Very solid weight although it could be slightly on the lighter side since it's about 32 pounds. Maneuvers around really well for to be 32 pounds so I'm pretty impressed with that.Definitely holds my weight although I feel it could hold a bit more. 220lb weight limits seems a bit sketchy with how sturdy this scooter is. Feel like it can hold a bit over 220 but I would not recommend going too crazy finding out.Overall, it's a well made scooter if you are a beginner like myself and you want something that you can have a good riding experience on without really breaking the bank then I think this the perfect scooter if you don't mind some of the flaws I mentioned earlier in this review. I'm pretty happy with it and I'll definitely see how well it will hold up for daily use on a daily basis. However it's up to you if you want to purchase this Hoverfly XR Elite Scooter! 😎

The cord was not compatible with American outlet
My scooter came with a European cord. I contacted customer service to see if they could send my the correct charging block and their only solution was for me to mail the scooter back to them for a refund (and that it would take at least a month to process). This is a Christmas present. Luckily I found an adapter but it makes me a little nervous because I don’t trust that it’s not going to catch on fire… the scooter looks nice otherwise and works fine once I figured out how to charge it.

Fun for everyone
I bought 3 of these! One for each of my kids ages are (10,11,&12 years old) they were in awe. I read the reviews and I have to agree, they are very sturdy and can even hold the adults. My kids weight between 67lbs-100lbs and the adults also got on and weight about 195lbs.Has down this was a great buy for Christmas

Missing parts
The -1 star is because the written instruction manual included, as great as it is in getting the bare minimum does; it doesn't answer every question. Like when do I know when the scooter is done charging - does the red light go off? It doesn't tell you how to connect the wires, it doesn't tell you you need to pull to get the break mechanism put in correctly, etc. The material feels nice and sturdy and it looks durable. Excited to give it a try.Update: after trying it out the scooter won't accelerate at all, everything else works fine except for that :( What a waste of time
