STK NP-F550 Battery Charger for Sony NP-F570 NP-F550 Batteries 160 LED CN-160 Dimmable Ultra High Power Panel Digital Camera/Camcorder Video Light, Chromo Inc. LED CI-160 and Image LED Video Lights

I've used STK batteries in my Canon DSLRs for ten years with good results so I figured their chargers would be okay and rolled the dice on one at Amazon.External build quality and appearance are very good: feels solid in hand and is close to OEM quality. My unit looks very different--more attractive--from the product image: rounded contour, no squares on the sides, thumb grips on the battery plate and emblazon with the STK logo on top. It also lacks the light colored oval with Sony misspelled ("For Son"). It appears identical to the  DSTE NP-F series charger .Unlike my other NP-F series charger, the removable battery plate fits snuggly and doesn't come loose when removing the battery. If you can locate compatible plates, it will also charge Panasonic and JVC batteries. I was mildly impressed that STK had clearly written instructions on the back of the charger.I own four NP-F550 clones I use in LED video lights,  Maximal Power F550 , and they charged up fine. If nearly depleted, they can take up to five hours to fully charge, hence the second charger. While charging, the batteries barely become warm. When the charge cycle is finished, the red LED light changes to green.All in all an excellent charger: well made, small enough for travel and does what it is supposed do.

Five Stars because it works at a very low price.  . Came back to Amazon and ordered this for less than half of what the other charger cost. It does the job. It is simple, red light while charging and green light when charged, small foot print in your case, 120v prongs fold in charger, can keep with batteries. Does have an adapter plate, I put four pieces of clear tape on mine to secure in place. Is not exactly as picture shows, smooth sides, but otherwise about the same. According to the box it takes 2.5 to 4 hours to charge a battery, it does not seem to overcharge and produce any heat, which is good, it says the output is 500ma which should indicate about how fast it can charge your battery.

Works MUCH better than the Polaroid charger that came with my LED light kit, that charger did little more than throw sparks around when I tried to plug it in. This charger charges batteries with no drama or issues, highly recommended.

Integrated plug and overall small footprint make this work in the smallest of camera bags.

Older Sony camcorder needed new battery and charger to continue to use. Yes, this is an old camcorder but good quality and produced good videos so.....this battery charger (and also purchased batteries from same source) fit the bill. Works perfectly, no issues. Hubby's happy. 'Nuf said.

Only used it once so far, but it seems to charge just fine. It does feel cheaper than expected, and it does smell funny. But hey, it works.

I bought this charger to charge the battery for the Neewer light I purchased for my video work. The charger arrived on time and worked well with the battery although I have not given it much of a work out so far.

This charger doesn't charge as well as you'd expect. The reason being that almost all these chinese ones have two prongs that sometimes will FOLD into the body. In which case you'd need to pry them out in order to get a full charge.
