All plates need a lip, in my humble opinion. OK, maybe I've already self-identified as a primate, so the rest of you sophisticates can pass on this crude device. But I am a fan of a plate that can help me get food into my gullet more efficiently. The design does that. The quality is outstanding: nice and weighty, stack nicely and have a coating that will keep them looking new. A bit on the pricey side, but quality costs a bit more. I'll look at these again during Prime days.

I love the look of these plates. They have a good weight to them. The size fits perfectly in our cabinets and I like that they have a lip around the edge so that gravy and sauce will not run off the plate. I have run them through the dishwasher several times and they are dishwasher safe as advertised.

Beautiful plates, especially at this price. I was looking at several different brands of this style and decided on these because of their simplicity and subtle glaze color. I also bought the matching 10.5-inch dinner plates, which are equally elegant and practical.

These plates are very pretty and are great quality for the price point! They’ve held up for over a year now as our main dinner plates. The brown texture is flat, and the white texture is off-white with natural speckles (we sometimes mistake for them being dirty, but it is pretty). They sell matching salad plates and bowls as well. They are very sturdy with a nice weight to them.

I'm delighted with my recent purchase of this plate set! Initially, I was concerned that the rims might be prone to chipping, but so far, that hasn't been an issue. The slightly higher rims have been a game-changer for our saucy dishes. The color is exactly as pictured, and cleaning is a breeze. I'm thrilled with the performance and durability of these plates - a great addition to our tableware!

They have these types of plates at Kirkland but these were a little bit cheaper. They’re beautiful, they match my rustic modern country dinnerware. Beautiful quality, perfect size and good weight.
