Holdup Airport Friendly/No Buzz Suspenders with the USA patented Composite plastic gripper clasp

I have used these for years. My job takes me in and out of correctional institutions and so I always have at least one sometimes two very sensitive metal detectors to navigate through two or three times a week. These do the trick. Two issues I have had which is why they are 4 stars rather than 5 stars. My first pair were X backs and they worked great but one of the tiny metal pins used in the clamp came out. I was lucky and found it and reinserted it. Once it started doing that (coming out) it was something that needed to be checked every use pushed back in until eventually it came out, was lost and the suspenders were relegated to the garbage. 2nd issue are the plastic grips. Yes they hold and work great and maybe once they have lost their grip but they typically hold all day no slippage. They work great but they are a bit large. Riding in a car or on a long plane trip any where you are sitting for a long period at some point they become uncomfortable and dig in especially in your back. I have found using the Y backs that you can move the clip from a little and that helps a little. I have wondered why they don't make these with leather loops for those of us that have suspender buttons sewn into our slacks. We could attach these to the buttons??? I just ordered this pair with the intent to do just that. Use my Dremel tool, cut the three plastic grips off and slide the leather loops in their place. I just ordered the loops on Amazon to make these into a pair of no buzz suspenders for buttons. Either way I like the product and recommend them even if you don't care about the no buzz factor.

I FINALLY FOUND A PAIR OF SUSPENDERS WITH NO METAL, I am allergic to the metal clasps and it still makes my skin break out with blisters even through my clothes, I’ve tried spraying the clasps with clear coat and wrapping with different types of tape and I still break out from the metal clasps. I’m so fricken happy to find a pair with plastic clasp. HOLDUP you are my hero!! Thank you so much..

Excellent - first suspenders that I have ever purchased that ACTUALLY stay clipped to my pants 100%. They don't come off until you are ready for them to, and then they come off with an easy flip of the clip. This company sells a LOT of different styles here on Amazon and on their web site and so far everything I have ordered directly from them (after getting my first set here from Amazon) have all arrived at nearly "Amazon speed" (but with shipping charges - if your order is less than $75).I am 6'5", approximately 300 lbs - so a relatively big guy and I have no complaints with the fit of these "standard" 48" suspenders - however, I will add that they do sell some versions of their suspenders in an "XL" 54" length that allows me a LOT more flexibility, but the 48" did JUST work for me.

The clips are excellent. They hold on better than most of the conventional metal/plastic clips I've used. I'm not in love with the Y style, but these are available in an X style, and it's just an individual preference.The only fault with them is the plastic adjuster slide things. They don't want to stay in place. They tend to slip all the way to the bottom after 30 minutes - 1 hour. So if the suspenders are good for you at the biggest setting, that's fine. But if you want them adjusted shorter, be prepared to fuss with them periodically.

I just bought my second pair of these suspenders because I like the first pair so well. As a person who is big, tall and egg,-shaped suspenders are the way to go for my pant holding needs, and these are the best suspenders I've found. They're best worn under a button up, over shirt, or vest.Con: If your pants are heavy the adjustable strap gradually slides down and loosens. This can be fixed by putting a pin underneath the adjuster on either sidePros: the latches are solid and have never popped off my pants or broken.The latches do not overly mark or damage the pants where they attach.The 2 point attachment lets you adjust how your pants sit. If you need the pants lower in the front then move the latches back. Need your pants to sit level, then move them forward.The latches are easy enough to remove and re-attach that I unlatch them to use the bathroom, instead of taking my over shirt and suspenders off, as I have had to do with most other suspendersOverall I think these are a great product and have no quibbles with their performance.

Other suspenders I've got have metal clips. After a time, the metal gives and doesn't grip as tightly. After (using needlepoint pliers) a few times bending them back so they tighten, they break. These Holdup non-metal clips are a simple but ingenious design; they grip tightly and won't bend. I'm impressed with them and hope to be as impressed a year or two from now if they hold up/don't break. I don't expect them to. I can't wait to go through TSA next time and avoid the hassle of removing my suspenders.

I have been using the Holdup Suspenders Undergarment No-Buzz in the X-Back and Side Attach models for the last four [4] years. They have excellent performers and the plastic clips have never let-go.I needed a "hold-up" for my work jeans and ordered the Y-Back model. They work great! I wish they came in the "nude" color with velcro adjustment. Holdup Suspenders make an excellent product, and after four [4] years none of my suspenders have continue to support. I am recommending Holdup Suspenders.

My first review was 5 star ... loved the design, cam-lock holding power, quality materials. Then, August 16, getting ready to attend my Grand Daughter's wedding, I see the back camlock and the small metal pin are missing !!! Could not wear the suspenders ... had to buy a belt to hold up my slacks. Later we found the camlock in the hotel parking lot, and the small metal pin was found on the car carpet. The hole for the pin was not very precise ...the reason the lock came apart.I have since super-glued the pin in place. Not happy over the inconvenience experienced.
