Dozy Bear and the Secret of Sleep

I bought this book because I was desperate to get my almost 3 year old into a better sleep routine. I was happy to find that within the story is a few basic relaxation techniques (including deep breathing). It's enjoyable to read, which is a must for any book I am going to read to my kids more than once. It is quite common for my son to be drifting off near the end of the book, makes me feel like I did something right! :)UPDATE 5/2/19I still can't believe how well this book works. I have it memorized now. My 7 year old wants me to record myself reading it so he can listen to it any time he wants. It takes me about 8 minutes to read the book and a relaxed place with a soft voice, drawing out the words. They are usually asleep about 5 minutes in. I wish I had this a couple of years ago!UPDATE 6/11/19Just get the book already and get some of your "me time" back. It even makes me sleepy so I feel like I go to bed more ready to sleep.

This book does not put my 2 year old to sleep. And he knew it was supposed to teach him to sleep and he wanted nothing to do with it at first, even though he kept telling me "I cant I dont know how" ... We're in a better place with it now, he listens to it, and the breathing and it does help relax him. He also no longer tells me he doesnt know how, and I'm armed with Dozy bear if he does

This book is wonderful for the parent or nanny as myself to read to little ones before their nap. It's soothing and teaches thru a super cute story to deep breath relax and Fall asleep. The little one I nanny is almost 2 and is always asleep by the end of this sweet story.

This book is amazing. It is like a sleeping pill for my son. The flow of the book is perfect and if you read it softly, your little one will pass out. We only wish we knew how it ended since we never have made it to the end. He is asleep by page 3.

Really nice bedtime story, and good for toddlers. Recommend.

We love reading this book to my 7 month old son before bedtime! The melodic verses really do such a great job at lulling him to sleep, we usually only make it to half of the book before he’s grabbing at his crib to go down!

Buy this book. My toddler can almost recite it, and it still has him knocked out within an 5min of finishing, if not before finishing.

Returned book. I thought it would be more about the animals than it is.

My toddler has always had trouble sleeping, recently he started saying 'it's so hard to fall asleep'. I tried a few kids meditation apps but with no success. I'd seen this advertised in a few of the other books we have and thought I'd give it a go. Some of it doesn't read so well, it feels a bit clumsey. But it works brilliantly, so brilliantly that actually me and my other half are falling asleep half the time too. I'd really recommend this for anyone who's kids have a hard time turning off at bedtime.

Brought this book on a facebook recommendation. Oh my word it's fantastic.Read this every night and my daughter is asleep by page 4. A calm settled wat to help children drift off.One of the best things I have brought EVER!!

This is a beautifully written book with illustrations to match. My children (2 & 5) both went sleepier the further into the book we got. Even the pictures have a dreamlike quality. It's written almost like hypnosis. Very clever. I bought another one a week later for a friends daughter and I will be buying one every time there is a birthday!

Lovely book great relaxation techniques incorporated into story...worked on me but my 5yr old still bounced off the walls for half an hour before falling asleep I'm hoping the principles will just take a few reads with him!
