Vagabond Motorsports Yamaha FZ-10 VM-YF110 Tail Tidy

Bought a £40 tail tidy off e.bay, fitted it, didn't like it and binned it. After many more hours reviewing tail-tidies for my MT10, I plumped for the vagabond unit. If you follow the detailed instructions and watch the video on you tube, the unit is a breeze to install.You can use existing indicators and number plate lights so therefore no cutting and re-joining wires...just plug and play. The key-cover plate has to be cut but if you follow the instructions, a very neat finish is achievable. This is the only unit I came across where you can use the existing number plate light which, in my opinion, is much better looking than most of the after market options.The result is amazing.....well pleased.

Have had a number of fender eliminators on various bikes over the years and this is by far the neatest.Factory fit and finish using the stock indicators and tail light. Wiring tucks away neatly and even usesThe factory seat lock cover. Tidies up the back end nicely and looks like it was meant to be there fromThe beginning. Beats the Evotech model for the MT-10 hands down. Great product.

When looking at buying a fender eliminator for my FZ-10 I was between this and the yoshimura brand. Overall the vagabond gets the job done but was no where near the quality expected. My two biggest issues with the product are the key cover clamp and the quality of finish. The key cover clamp did not even come close to aligning with the studs. It took me an hour with a file to get this piece to fit. The quality of finish/metal is poor can be seen on both corners from the back. There are "breaks" and cracks in the finish. This issue is much more noticeable as i can be seen from the rear of the bike. Like I said, it gets the job done and cleans up the tail of the bike, it is just simply not to the quality of others. In my opinion these issues should not be present. I recommend spending the extra $40 to save some headache and get a quality finished piece for your bike.

So I luv seeing "MADE IN USA" when I buy something. Out of the box, you can tell it's a quality piece. Finish looks an seems to be durable, install is easy with a couple hand tools. They've made it to where you reuse the factory lighting, so no cutting or splicing to leave a starting point for corrosion in the wiring. If you live in AZ and only ride once in awhile, then cut away... I live in FL, ride regularly. The instructions are them being safe, an really don't need to fully remove certain items to gain access. Removal of the turn signals felt like they were about to break trying to "twist" the base out of the stock fender as they recommend. A dull flathead or something similar to help with removal from the inside worked for me. With that being said, use your best judgment. Do it how u feel comfortable doing it. Overall, it's a quality piece that's easy to install and gives it a nice clean look.

Putting this on your MT-10 means cutting the plastic on your seat latch key cover. After installing this it looks like it might eat into the taillight and turn signal cables because of how pinched the cables are under the cut plastic.The small mounting bar for the key cover is also very tight and the pressure makes it harder to open the flap and will stop it from fully closing by itself.

This is a good bracket although when you bend aluminum against the grain it cracks. So a few of the bends had cracks that can be seen through the powder coat. I am going see how long it lasts before it cracks all the way through. Outside of that problem it is a good designed bracket and fits very well! I highly recommend following the video exactly, if you do it works perfect!

Vagabond Motorsports has an EXTREMELY effective step-by-step instructional guide on their website. The quality of this fender eliminator is unmatched. It feels very very solid and looks amazing - definitely worth the money.

At first I had an issue with the fitment of the product. The product did not sit flush on the Neath the tale of a motorcycle so I forced it on there because I was in the middle of an install and I had no choice because my My stock then there was already ripped off.Who is the part on and it didn’t sit flush with the underside of the tail I took a picture and reached out to the company and they immediately sent me another part a year later after finally having time to install it the part fits perfectly and it does the job

A clean and economical option for removing the out-rigger tail piece that comes from the factory. Easy installation, but I recommend WATCHING the video before you start. You have to look the video up on YOUTUBE, but it will make your life easier and you'll do a better job.

Simple to understand instructions. Everything except the crossbar fit perfectly. I had to stretch out the holes on the crossbar to secure the final piece that holds the keyhole cover below.

Excellent Made in U.S.A. Product. I watched their YouTube video while I installed it. Very nicely done video. Probably took about 45 min and looks awesome, how Yamaha should have made it.

The plate for the key hole cover is and the alignment of the provided studs are not up to par but if you're doing this yourself you'll figure it out

Super easy install and a quality product. Just take your time installing the license plate light. One of the studs snapped on me as the factory studs had a good amount of thread compound. I learned my lesson on the first one and chased the threads with a die before putting the second bolt on. Good news is the snapped stud had enough threads left to complete the install.

Amazing product. Welll made with an easy and simple installation. Would recommend to use the video tutorial.The only problem I see is for big plates like in Israel. Would recommend the manufacturer to add a 3 point contact location. Adding another support in the lower part or increasing the plate holder area can prevent the plate from braking. I added rubber zip bands to add that much needed support. For small number plates it is perfect.

Priced below the units from other manufacturers but still high quality. Has very detailed and easy to follow install instructions. Looks factory and cleans up the tail. I just wish they utilized the rubber license plate light insulators from oem unit as opposed to hard mounting. May not be an issue but will update my review if light fails due to vibration. Made in USA!

Great fit and finish that compliments the stock turn signals and lic plate light. Install took less than a half hour.One note - the right turn signal has a white connector and the left is black. The install video is correct but the instructions are wrong.
