I loved this book and my husband is now reading it. After 5 years of a marriage and recent job that took him away every week where he was only home on the weekends, our marriage was suffering for it. Even after he lost that job (which was more stress) we weren't rebounding back to the same couple we were. I thought we were headed for divorce and prepared myself for it. I finally even asked him if we were headed to divorce. He said no he didn't want that and neither did I. We started working on our marriage together but it didn't seem enough - something was missing and we weren't healing yet - things were better but not great. I wanted more - I wanted the fairy tale ending - I wasn't sure what that was until I found this book. My fairy tale ending would be to be a super couple. I want to be loved and to love unconditionally, selflessly and to be honest. I want to put my husband first and I want my husband to put me first before all others. This book and they way Dr. Christine Bacon explains what a super couple is and how do you get there. There is just the right amount of faith inserted that if you are not religious it shouldn't bother you. I've learned a lot about men and myself. Honestly, you won't regret buying and reading this book - it's easy to ready and understand - there are no "big" words for you look up. The formula is simple and anyone who wants to be a super couple can be. Personally, we aren't there yet but I have high hopes that we will be some day. Buy this book - you won't regret it.

This book has changed my life forever. Growing up the household I did, I thought my relationship with my boyfriend was going to be much like my mother and father's marriage, toxic. In this book Dr. Bacon outlines what makes a "Super Couple" super, and how I do not have to carry the same negative traits that I saw my parents have into my relationship. Dr. Bacon outlines everything not just married couples need to know but young adults that one day want to be married. This book is an easy read, very informative and will change a person's view on how to do relationships. Also, what I really like about this book is that nothing is superficial. Dr. Bacon uses real life examples for everything she talks about specifically how "Super" does not mean "Perfect" and that there is "no right" way to get married. The bottom line is that this book is AMAZING and it can help any marriage/ relationship. My boyfriend read this book, and our hope is that we will one day get married and be considered by others as a "Super Couple." This book has completely helped our relationship and my hope is to tell everyone about Dr. Bacon's book, The Super Couple: A Formula for Extreme Happiness in Marriage.

Some of the beginning is clearly a bit of babbling. But Dr Christine is both hopeful, smart and caring. It shows in her focus on the success metrics amongst super couples. I owe my wife everything yet didn't show that nor host of other failings. This book gets us back to the basics of what makes couples super to each other. Hint, kindness, respect, loyalty, forgiveness and more. I am more committed than ever to win the heart of my beautiful wife. Dr Bacon played a role in that. Thank you.

The book kept my interest through a fairly methodical approach and some familiar anecdotal perspectives. I plan to look for the authors Ted talks.

Her words and message are so real and sincere that it felt like she was right there with me having a conversation rather than me reading the pages of a book. This was an amazing read! This book was well written and easy to follow along with. It felt more like I was having a conversation with her or sitting in a lecture vice reading a book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to gain an understanding of how to ensure that your marriage will not only survive but also thrive. Dr. Bacon has developed a concept that can help her readers to have happy, healthy and successful marriages. I honestly believe that FULL embodiment of her principles WILL result in and extremely happy marriage. Happy Reading...you will not regret this purchase!!!
