We bought this to replace a similar tent that could not withstand a windstorm. This tent has fared better, though not tested in a storm. It has been quite windy, and I was worried as it flapped a little, but it held on. The side shade is great since the sun moves so much. We use it on the galley of our teardrop camper trailer and it keeps us in the cool shade as we cook. Easy to set up and take down.

Pros: The awning works perfectly with my teardrop trailer. It was easy to set up. The straps were really long which will allow it to be used with multiple vehicles. It provided plenty of shade for the cooking area of my trailer. I did not use the side panel on this trip but I can see where it would be useful. Cons: One of the pockets that holds one of the top poles was not sewn completely. The pole eventually worked its way out. While I am able to fix this myself, I recommend that people double check that before the first use. One of the suction cups were deformed. They are not critical to the functioning of the awning. This type of awning will not stay up in anything beyond a light wind. That is not the fault of the product. Its just physics.

I am thoroughly impressed with the HRefeu SUV Tailgate Tent with Awning. The setup was straightforward and the tent was sturdy and well-made. The awning provided excellent coverage and the additional space was perfect for gear storage or lounging. The true test came when the remnants of Hurricane Debby hit our area. We were directly in the eye and I was worried that the tent wouldn't be able to hold up, but I was pleasantly surprised. The tent remained taut and secure, even in high winds and heavy rain. I was incredibly grateful for the durability and protection that this tent provided during the storm. Overall, I highly recommend the HRefeu SUV Tailgate Tent with Awning for anyone in need of a reliable and versatile outdoor shelter. It has earned a spot in my camping gear for years to come!

Works great with my camper van. Takes some getting use to assembling. Very compact.

Pretty versatile set up, although damaged right out of the box. Update: seller reached out and corrected the problem.

Easy to set up and would be great but the material already had holes in it.

I used this canopy for beach camping in Carlsbad, CA. It worked great for me on my Jeep Jk 2 door hard top. I bought it because it was priced below $90, size, and color. Set up took me a little longer because it was my first time. It could probably be done in 20 mins. I did some modifications on the front side tie downs like anchoring them to my Jeep’s side steps. As for the rear, there was a chain link fence that I used to help secure the rear poles. Otherwise, it withstood the occasional beach winds gust plus providing enough shade for my Jeep’s tailgate table cooking, and enough room for my gear, 2 small side tables, and 2 folding chairs. I really like the 1 side cover provided because you can choose which ever side to place it on for additional sun cover. I wish there were three provided for a little privacy so I could sleep outside on sleeping cot next time. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a rear tailgate camp cover. It’s good quality, provided good shade, and priced inexpensive. Keep in mind my Jeep Jk is not lifted high so the rear poles were the perfect height.

Wind destroyed this tent first day I used it. Placed in trash when I left campground

Very happy with my purchase. Used on back of teardrop caravan for 11 days camping in summer. Held up in heavy prolonged rain. Anchor points were good. I replaced the poles which weren’t very strong or adjustable . Lowered awning using new poles for the wind and it held up. Kept me out of sun.

Very good product value for money..but if you want to use it in windy area you have to take extra time for bracing ... recommend as good choice instead of 270 awning canopy

Used it 3 times for a few hours each and there are already rips in the material along the poles. The two vertical poles are also too flimsy. Cheap materials, doesn't last.
