Waterproof US Army Hooded Ripstop Festival Rain Poncho Military Camping Hiking

I wore this poncho on the Camino Frances across Spain and was pretty pleased with it.In fact I was very pleased with it, except that:1) The hole for the head was small a bit for me. My head is larger than average and it only just fitted through the head hole (but it did go through).2) The poppers holding the sides together were too weak and kept un-popping very easily if I moved my arms or the wind put what I thought was a very small amount of pressure on them. I fixed this by securing them with duck/duct tape which worked pretty well.3) I would have liked it to be a bit longer at the back, as other ponchos I saw were, but it seemed to keep my rucksack dry anyway. But overall I was very happy with it.Sometimes I experienced condensation inside the poncho, other times not. I think this is to be expected with any poncho.The material was heavier duty than other ponchos I saw and I was glad of that. (The poncho weighs about a kilogram.)Generally when I saw the ponchos other people were wearing I thought mine was better (more water- and wind-proof.The only exception was the occasional ponchos that were longer at the back (designed to fit over a rucksack). But as I already said, my pack stayed dry despite that.If I went again I would take the same poncho. (unlike my over-trousers which were rubbish...)

I work outside all year round and have gone through 100s of rainproof gear. I brought this as a trial and I love it!!! Even the heaviest rain cant get through. Will by another as soon as this one get to old. Feels very cosy and you can easily access your pockets inside. Absolutely love it . It works for me and I'm out in all wet conditions .

The hood is a tight fit and only has a draw string which is consequently useless. It would have been better with a Velcro flap to adjust the fit with. Also the are needle holes all around the seam where the hood is stitched on which let the rain in. Very poor quality. I wouldn't recommend buying this.

Significant design flaw. Used this at a rainy Glastonbury and on the first use got soaked through. On the front inside there is some webbing stitched into the poncho (I think it's part of the "tarp" functionality), but the stitched portion is not sealed so water was wicked in at enough of a rate that my top underneath was literally dripping wet. That night I put masking tape over this part on the inside and I was dry after that.

it has a serious design flaw a series of patches stitched across the front which let in water quite badly.It worked well (other than the above) Initiallyit's just come back from it's third festival - where it failed - not totally but badly enough that with an equally useless berghaus "waterproof" jacket underneath that I gave up after about 5 hours serious rain and missed the last act

It's a very water proof item, but a little hard to tie up with all sorts of strings and stuff hanging around looking like a horror movie.The head hole cannot be made bigger and is one size, so my giant fat head just about fits and gets VERY wet during the rain but the rest of me is dry, so when you tie this up, it does help against the rain and wind so you look like a homeless bin bag let free into the streets dressed as a human, so happy days.

Absolutely brilliant. I bought this for my dad who uses a mobility scooter and it fits right over it to keep him dry. He has bought other capes but he has said this is the best👍 It is lovely material and really well made. Worth the money, Excellent quality 😁

Well life saver might be a bit of an over top but it defently felt like it last weekend at download festival where it rained all weekend

Sono perplessa. Ho comprato il poncho e la coperta della stessa marca, che usati insieme fanno un sacco a pelo di emergenza. Mi aspettavo che il poncho avesse gli occhielli in corrispondenza dei cordini presenti sulla coperta, invece su otto cordini sul poncho mancano 2 occhielli. In questo modo la coperta va dove vuole ed è scomoda. In secondo luogo il poncho è leggermente più piccolo della trapunta, ne consegue che una volta fatto il sacco a pelo i lembi della coperta rimangono esposti all'eventuale pioggia. La cucitura sul cappuccio sembra lasca, ma vedremo quando lo proverò. Per il resto trovo questo poncho un buon prodotto, è pesante (600g circa) e dà impressione di solidità.

Prodotto Robustissimo, arrivato nei tempi previsti. Occhielli rinforzati agli angoli con lacci e laccio interno all'altezza vita molto robusti e funzionali. Veramente impermeabile e comodo. Unico neo il foro per il viso è troppo stretto e questa imperfezione non i fa dare le cinque stelle nel giudizio. Per il maltempo lo trovo (testato in questi giorni) veramente adatto. Per bushcraft e trekking può configurarsi anche come riparo di emergenza. Soddisfatto (con piccola riserva)

Die arme US Armee!!!Die Öffnung der Kaputze ist so eng,dass ich meinen Kopf nicht durchstecken konnte und die Öffnung am Hals schnürte.Somit konnte ich die Kaputze auch nicht nach hinten ziehen.Frage mich was das soll, es ist noch ein Band eingezogen um es enger zu schnüren.Warum wird die Öffnung nicht ausreichen groß gemacht.Ich habe eine "normale" Kopfgröße mit 59cm Kopfumfang. Mit sicherheit hat die US Armee nicht solche Poncho. Anprobiert,eingepackt und sofort zurück geschickt.Für mich unbrauchbar und daher großzügige 2 Sterne.

Kam schnell, sieht gut aus, leider völlig unbrauchbar. Auf der Vorderseite sind Kordeln auf der Innenseite angenäht. Leider wurden die Nähte von außen nicht versiegelt. Dadurch war ich bereits nach 10 min regen am Brust und Bauch triefnaß.Auch sieht man bei genauer Betrachtung, das vereinzelt kleine Löcher, wie Nadelstiche, im Material sind...Kapillar Effekt, das Wasser wird genau da hineingezogen.Fazit: das Teil geht zurück.

Zwar passt der Poncho ganz gut, nur der Anlieferzustand war sehr mangelhaft. Der Poncho war innen ganz nass, die Metallringe für die Schnürre waren ausgerissen. Den hat wohl jemand ausprobiert und wieder zurück geschickt. Artikel geht wieder zurück und werd mor einen anderen holen.

Der Poncho tut, was er verspricht!Absolut wasser- und winddicht, auch bei starkem Regen.Guter Tragekomfort.Kein unangenehmer Geruch, robust und ordentlich verarbeitet.Bin sehr zufrieden!!!

Ist etwas zu groß, aber das ist nicht schlimmWichtig ist nur das man nicht nass wirdFahre sehr viel Fahrrad wegen meinem HundZusammen gefaltet ist der Regencap gut zuverstauen

Résistant , un peut petit pour mettre au dessus d’un gros parka mais conforme .

de bonne dimension ,les clips sont de bonnes qualité , un prix très raisonnable ,une bonne protection contre la pluie remplit parfaitement son rôle

Taille, matière, look, tout est bon avec ce poncho, facilement repliable dans sa housse, très satisfait de cet achat que je recommande

Impeccable poncho avec housse de rangement, cordes pour serrer ou attacher, assez lourd, mais permet de rester libre de mouvement, et d'accéder à ses affaires. Couvre au ssi efficacement les sacs à dos 50 L dans mon cas.
