Great Wire Kit - Expect Nothing from the Packaging
I ordered the 22AWG Red Blue Green Yellow Black kit, shipped from Amazon and sold by striveday in late January of 2021. It's a great value for a hookup wire set.- The price is basically on par with ordering from China directly via AliExpress which doesn't have two day shipping to the US.- As other reviews say the red is definitely more orange than a standard red wire but not enough to not be confused for orange, in my opinion. If you need it to 100% match an existing red wire for any reason consider a different kit or different wire. The colors in the photo are otherwise accurate.- The wire strips, tins and solders easily. The insulation is exactly what I was expecting from silicone insulation.- As other reviews say - the dispenser packaging, like most kits like this, is useless. I thought there might be a trick others couldn't figure out and wasted some time learning first hand that what I read was true.

Very nice flexible 200c 600v silicone wire Solders easily
I like wire like this for most purposes. It has a 200c rating stamped on it along with 600v rating, the manufacturer name, gauge and product number. You know what you’ve got here and it’s good. It also is very flexible and solders extremely well. As others have said, the insulation won’t shrink or burn like vinyl will. The only downside to silicone insulation is that it lacks abrasion resistance. In fact, you can strip off the insulation with your finger nail. So use this where the wire won’t be worked or scraped. The other downside to this flexible wire is that it wants to unwind itself from the roll and thus the wires can get tangled. The way I handled this is a little different than the method described below another user. The idea is to have the wire wind off the bottom of the roll so the rolls weight on the roll flanges keeps the wires isolated from each other. The photos show the method I used. Note that flap of the box covers the exit holes so I used the exit holes in the back of the box. I also added some paper and bubble wrap on top of the rolls before closing the box in order to apply tension to the roll.

Useful for small projects
Perfect for my button box Arduino project. The wires tangle easily when you try to pull them, but it wasn’t a huge hassle to just pull from the top of the box.

Over priced For the cheap wire you receive
I'm a little Disappointed in the quality of the wire Especially the insulation , I would Definitely not use it in High voltage and heavy current applicationsBut most of my projects are low voltage 5v - 9 v. And it should be fine for that . The Dispenser boxes Are not the best either. Only One set of holes can be used and still be able to close the box , Both those should be punched on the same same .This Wire is way over priced for the Quality you receive ,. But I do like the Small spools inside and I will keep those for other uses ... overall I will give 4 Stars * * * *

They're good enough for MILD soldering.
So, they are supposed to be decently heat tolerant. And I'll say that they're not TERRIBLE in that department. But I have recently made the switch to the low temp soldering heat shrink tubes (just far easier and they seal up great). And I've noticed that on some occasions the silicone will either catch fire or melt which of course ruins the weatherproofing. But I can say that these honestly aren't a bad deal. The price is right and with a bit of practice you can get good enough to keep the heat mitigated properly and avoid issues with the shielding.
