Doesn't work! :(
Does work! :(These hard disk enclosures are really easy to use and are as simple as 'plug n play'. Put a recently replaced laptop HDD in the enclosure, my PC recognises that a new device is attached, but it does not show up to be a USB hard drive. I had to go into add/remove hardware bit to find it there, with an exclamation mark, to indicate that it's not working.I performed the trouble shooter program, which updated the drivers and restarted the PC, but still it did not work!I then thought it could be the HDD (maybe I fried it by mistake). Luckily I have a different enclosure for another old laptop HDD. So I swapped the two HDDs with the enclosures (so my older HDD is in this new Spinido enclosure). Still not working!My older enclosure, which is about 4 years old now, is working like a dream still and my (newer) laptop hard drive in there and it recognised it instantly.So yeah, I'm going to have to send this one back! Pretty annoying as I needed it because I'm going away in a few days.

It did help me to get my files from my otherwise broken external hard drive, but after 2 weeks the connection between the Spinido and cable didn't work any more. Sent it back for a new one. Works, but I can see it's only a matter of time before the same happens. So I just bought a new hard drive instead.
