Easy to install and works like a charm!
If you don't think you can repair that old leaf blower...think again!I am happy to say that my leaf blower is once again in use! With such a seemingly low price, I was a bit skeptical at first, but I can assure you, this kit does the job.I have an (older) Ryobi Leaf Blower RY08554 that had been giving me fits for the past several months. Now, it's only fair to share that I hadn't used the blower in quite a while because it got to be such a pain in the butt, but I finally made the plunge to get it working again. During the prep and breakdown of my blower, I found that my fuel lines had broken inside the tank, and that I was sucking up debris and garbage. No wonder this thing wasn't running worth a hoot!Anyhow...here's some pointers on installing the carburetor since there are NO INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL!TOOLS NEEDED: Torx 20 screwdriver, Carburetor Cleaner (spray can), needle-nose pliers, scissors or sharp blade, small and thin screwdriver or "poking" tool.PREP: Make sure there is no fuel in tank prior to starting breakdown and repair.REMOVAL: Removal of the carburetor is a cinch. Mine was held in place by 2 torx bolts that came out easily. Unclip the metal trigger/accelerator line from the carb, and it comes out easy. Clean up the carb base with some carb cleaner and wiped down thoroughly. There are TWO gaskets included in the box. Find the one that has a tiny hole that lines up with your air hole on the backside of the carburetor. Remove old fuel linesINSTALL: Push the mounting bolts back through the carburetor and the gasket and hold everything in place. Place carb assembly in area of mounting, but before mounting, use needle-nose pliers to fish the accelerator clip/tab back through the small hole at top of carburetor. Now, place carb assembly over mounting hole and tighten screws until good and snug.FUEL LINES: Remove the existing fuel lines from the fuel tank and discard. You should have two holes in the tank now. There are two pipes at bottom of carburetor - the one that is closest inward to the carb (away from the priming bulb) is the intake line. TO BEGIN: Unravel ONE yellow line and cut one end with scissors at an angle to produce a sharp point. With some force, press line through hole in tank and fish through with needle-nose pliers. Pull enough through as if to reach the farthest point at end of fuel tank. Cut the pointy end you just made off the fuel line so that it is now a 90 degree cut (straight across). Put your filter on end of line, place back through gas fill hole, and fish line into tank until it's all the way in back of tank. The other line only requires to extend into the middle of the tank. Use the same process, but DO NOT INSTALL A FILTER on this line! Trim enough of the fuel lines to seat nicely on intake and return ports at bottom of carburetor. Connect lines to the carburetor.GETTING READY: Fill gas tank about 1/2 way full with correct fuel mixture. Prime the fuel as per the instructions on your blower. Remember...you'll likely need to give it 2-4 more pushes to get enough through the lines/filter and new carb. Pull-start as per usual. Mine started right up, but was pretty rough.CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT: Pretty simple -- and it comes with the tool you need. There are two ominous black adjusters on the top of the carb. The one closest inward is your low idle, and the other is for your high. If you're running rough (like mine) -- start up blower and set on flat hard surface. Adjust the LOW IDLE with the supplied screwdriver until it sounds even and without sputter. Now, after warmed up, pull trigger to push it to full-blast. SLOWLY adjust the high side until it runs even.

Effective and Inexpensive
I'm seriously impressed with this repair kit. I was given a blower for free that didn't run at all. After replacing all the components provided in this kit it now runs like a dream. The price was surprisingly low for all the components that this package includes. My only complaint is that there were zero instructions or even basic information pointing you to some tutorial on how to perform this repair. Thankfully a quick YouTube video will give you all the information you need, and it's a relatively simple repair even if you're not too handy.

Leaf blower running like new
I rebuilt the carb for my Ryobi leaf blower and it was still running a little off. Saw this for $15 and figured I'd give it a try. It's running like new again. For these little 2 cycle engines I'll never do a carb rebuild again when I can spend little money and time buying a new carb like this. Great buy if you're trying to get that old 2 cycle running like new again.

Simple and effective repair, well worth the price.
I like the function of this carb better than my original ryobi carb, this one automatically switches the choke off. Just make sure if your not familiar with carb adjustments all it takes is small turns for a significant result and it will run perfect. If you open up the fuel too much and cannot restart close the screws , replace the plug and try again. This is of the same or better quality than the OEM zama carb.

Can't Go Wrong
This is my third small engine carburetor from Amazon for three different applications. Installation was very simple and included new gaskets, weighted fuel filters, fuel line, spark plug, extra primer bulbs, pacman carb adj. tool and of course the carburator. The carburator was an easy install using a ΒΌ inch nut driver and a pair of needle nose pliars. There were two different gaskets included. When installing make sure the vent holes align with the gasket each is different. The OEM carb had a three position choke this replacement has a simple two position with an automatic choke off with a simple pull of the throttle. The Ryobi blower fired up right away with the preadjusted settings, however it needed to be leaned out a little bit especially on the high speed circuit. For reference our altitude is 265' above sea level and running TruFuel 50:1.

Brought my dead Ryobi Leaf Blower back to life instantly
So I have never done anything like this before and was unsure if it would work, but for the price I was willing to give it a try. Despite there being no instructions in the box, it was actually very simple to swap out the old carburetor even giving that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Unscrew, replace, rescrew, that's it. The hardest part, if you could even call it hard was pushing the little gas tubes back on their socket... but needle nose pliers made that quick work. Go ahead and revive your blower. Don't buy a new one.

Beware gasket vent hole
Used on Ryobi RY 09056. Great value but make sure the gasket vent hole lines up correctly. Two gaskets came with the kit but neither vent hole aligned. Noticed that the engine sounded different than usual and read other reviews about vent hole. Used old gasket and worked fine. Note that carb works a little differently than the original in that it has a throttle release action. Overall an easy install and good value.
