We have had the Uncle Brown smart toilet now for several months, so we have spent a lot of time with it and I feel very confident in my review. First off, the build quality of this toilet is fantastic. Everything is solid. The installation instructions are very thorough and the template provided was really helpful. If you frequently DIY in your home, this is easy. The adapters for the water hookup and simple and work well. Keep in mind if you are installing this on a tile floor that you will need to use a diamond bit to drill into the tile floor to reach the subfloor. It's not difficult, but take your time and keep the surface wet while drilling! The functions of the toilet are super intuitive, and all the primary components work really well: heated seat, bidet and dryer. The remote makes everything easy. Once you have a smart toilet, you won't go back. The really useful thing about this unit is the built in tank and pump. We don't have the best water pressure, and we initially purchased the ST03 unit. That one doesn't have a built in tank and pump, and when water was being used elsewhere in the house, we didn't have a reliable flush on the ST03. This is where Uncle Brown customer service comes in, and they were spectacular. They were prompt, first advising a separate pump I could purchase to improve water pressure on the line, but when I discovered that was going to be cumbersome and expensive to install, they recommended the ST03 Pro and initiated a return for the ST03. They communicated regularly and clearly until we sorted everything out and the new unit was installed. Overall, I have been really impressed by both the quality of the product and the customer service team.

I got this for my aging parents, and while they thought something like this was a bit “gimmicky”, there is no way they would turn it loose now. This toilet is all about comfort and quality of life. The height is perfect, as is the large size and contour of the seat. This is one product that seemingly went through some actual testing after it was designed. It’s easy to spend more on one of these bidet toilets, but you won’t get more for your money than buying this one. Works great in every respect, and what it doesn’t do automatically is easy and effortless with the remote. The words on the remote are a bit small for older eyes, so I used little pieces of different colored post it notes to help them remember the location of bidet on and stop buttons. This toilet says it’s self cleaning, and it is! Amazing! The night light at the base and in the bowl make middle of the night goes much, much safer. This toilet weighs every bit of the 110lbs indicated in the listing, and I hired a plumber because of that. In my case, I did need to have the water supply stop moved to make room for this unit. Also, I highly recommend arranging for some power for the toilet before installing it, to avoid subjecting your folks to an extension cord. In my case, the toilet was in its own little room, and I installed an outlet using power from the light switch for the room. The amount of time from “That’s ridiculous” to “Thank you” was pretty much instantaneous….

Okay so I am a 29 year old corporate accountant, so I didn’t install this myself. Luckily I’ve got a friend in just about everything so my plumber friend did the install. He said it was straight forward with the directions. Right after install the toilet was working great except it seemed to struggle to flush toilet paper- it was so strange. So I reached out to the seller and they went out of their way to help me trouble shoot every aspect of the toilet. They sent a new valve (which was easy to install without plumber) and instructions on other things to try. We almost gave up then the plumber mentioned the toilet flange there when he changed it was strange and might be reducing flow. He came over the other day and changed that and WOW this thing has some serious flushing power. No problems flushing toilet paper. (I got the top model with the power flush fyi). So it turns out it was our own install error that made it not function great at first, but the seller still did everything to help and even said they’d offer a refund if the plumber’s solution didn’t work. Now that the plumber fixed [his mistake?] this toilet is 10/10 perfect. I’ll be buying another soon for my other bathroom. If you are looking for a good modern toilet with build in bidet and other features this is 100% the winner. Do not resist buying this. Well worth double the price!
