I bought this book to read to my Preschool class during Pride month. The children loved it. They kept comparing our classroom to the classroom in the book. I had one of my students tell me she was so happy because Heather has two mommies like her. I liked the way it introduced how Heather has two mommies but it was not the main focus. It has been a great addition to my classroom.

We're a lesbian couple, and we absolutely loved this book for our daughter. Super cute, and super inclusive. Love adding this to our diverse group of books!

By the second page, my 2.5 year old told me she really loved this book a lot. Sweet story and beautiful pictures. Teaches family diversity in a narrative way.

This book is a delight! I love how the concept of Heather having 2 moms is introduced, but isn't the spotlight of the book (despite the title). Books like this can sometimes be santimonious, but this one isn't. Just perfect. Introduces the concept without parading it in front of the child or pointing it just. Just: matter of fact, like it's no big deal. The focus of the book is Heather being excited and nervous for her first day of school. The kids (4 and 6 year old) loved it!

I appreciated that this book addressed a moment the child was aware that her family makeup may be different than others while allowing the reading an opportunity to reflect on how all are families are unique. Sweet book and the beauty of all families.

I bought this when I realized my 9-10 year old stepdaughter had never seen a family with two moms or two dads. She is stubborn and wouldnt engage in conversation about the topic, so I bought this. My intention was to read it to my 4 year old when the older step daughter was within earshot, hoping she would listen in. She did and her little world is a little bit bigger now.My 4yo loves this book, so it's a win for both of the kids. I end up reading it about once a month.

The idea of the book is great and happy to have it in our collection. Would have been better if the family was a little more diverse and not so cookie cutter but can't expect it all, I guess

This was for my work setting for pre school children, a lovely book sharing family experiences without being too full on. Some books are a bit much but this is a lovely read and the children enjoy it.
