I spent a VERY long time comparing Snailax models and reviews prior to purchasing this one. I had an accident a few years ago that resulted in acute cervical strain, which acts up on days that I drive. The only relief I found was getting deep tissue massages, which is pricey and not tenable long-term. I also use a pressure point mat and curved pillow, but wanted something that could provide deeper, concentrated pressure, especially on my lower back.In addition to wanting deep, kneading functions, I was also looking for a massager that I could put on a chair, as opposed to buying a massage recliner for the nursery I'm designing. My worry was that the pressure would not be strong enough for my liking. I'm also on the petite side. The neck function is adjustable for me (a 5'3" woman) and can be adjusted for my husband, who is 5'9." My husband doesn't like nearly as much pressure as I, which the manufacturer thought of, so there is a removable flap on the back that attaches to velcro and provides a less intense massage. I also like that you can choose clockwise or counterclockwise on the neck area. Another funtction that's great is the option to keep the massage on one spot to work out pressure.Lastly, I liked that the photos showed the structure that's under the fabric. It made me feel more confident and that I was buying something that was well-made and would last. I like that this is a smaller company that provides an extended warranty and support, if and when I may need it. Again, I spent hours comparing this brand to another that's quite similar, but chose Snailax due to the aforementioned warranty and customer support. I chose this model because I wanted strong acupressure with kneading, not just vibrating. If this had a massage function for your glutes, it would be absolutely perfect, but I'm certainly not complaining. For this price point, you could get 1 or 2 massages at a hotel spa, or this back massager and not have to leave your house. I HIGHLY reccomend this product!

My teenager son plays competitive junior golf, he always feels tightness in his hip and lower back. We have to take him to a Chiro therapist every other week to keep his body in good condition so that he’s always ready for golf tournaments. The therapy is not cheap and costs more than $100/per visit.Both my wife and I sit in front of computers for long hours every day. All of us have been bothered by chronic tight back, or back and neck pains.I’ve been thinking about buying a massage chair. But it costs thousands of dollars and occupies a lot of space. Then I found Snailax Massager on Amazon.Bought one and after we tried for one week, we all agreed this Snailax Massager is a keeper!My son’s tight back disappeared after using it for 15 minutes every night. We skipped the Chiro therapy for this week. This Snailax massager is basically free! We’ll see how much this can save us going forward.For my wife. she loves the neck massager! Especially its position can be adjusted based on user’s height to work on the right spots, and you can choose clockwise or counterclockwise rolling.For me, I like the back massage. You can choose 3 Massage areas: Upper, Lower or Full Back, and 3 type of massages: Shiatsu, Rolling or Spot. I love the Shiatsu massage the most. My back feels really relaxed.We’ll need to buy another one, so we don’t have to move it around the house.Strongly recommended! This product is a no brainer!

This massager surprised me with the size and weight. It's fairly heavy and bulky, unlike the thin chair cover massagers I have had in the past. I would not likely travel with this massager because of the weight. Overall I am very pleased. The massager balls get into the areas of my back that need it most. The neck massager also works very well. Both have a high kneading intensity with a feeling of moderate pressure and work independently of each other. The intensity is variable, with high, medium, and low settings for both neck and back. Also, you can use an optional padding on the back to lessen the pressure more. The back settings have options to simply roll, and forego the shiatsu kneading. And there are options for full back, upper, lower, or spot. I am only 5'2" tall so I do have a hard time getting the neck and back massagers to line up correctly. The solve this issue I do not try and massage neck and back at the same time. I do back first, then. place a pillow under my seat to raise my height, and then do my neck. Lowering or raising oneself really adjusts the point of contact the massage balls and there isn't an area I can't get to if I'm positioned correctly, including the top of my traps. The spot feature is great to stay on a particularly tense area, and that can be further honed in with adjustable arrows that let you move the balls up or down. The massager also has heat settings for neck and back and a timer feature. You can go beyond 15 minutes on the phone app. I find the massager app very nice because it is more convenient to use my bright phone screen, rather than the corded remote, which is black and hard to see all the buttons, especially if you are like me and need reading glasses. Mine did not come with a car charger attachment, although I could buy one from the website. I thought I might do that, but honestly, this thing is pretty heavy and I can't see myself moving it back and forth much. I might buy another massager just for my car. This massager has given me a lot of relief. I'm coming up on being middle aged, and working a job with high level of repetitive stress injuries to the body, especially the neck, shoulders and upper back. I'm not saying it can replace a trained massage therapist, but it definitely gives me tremendous relief to use this after work. I think the price point is pretty good with the quality of materials, options and settings, and overall effectiveness. Longevity is something I cannot speak of yet, but will update. I was given an option to update my warranty, if that means anything. I know with Chinese companies many people fear giving our their private information but it didn't ask for my phone number, address, etc.

This massager is great! I’ve had other Snailax massage chairs and this version is my favorite by far. It’s portable, so it’s easy to use in a variety of locations- like on the couch or in bed. And its smaller size allows you to adjust it to the perfect spot on your back. Great at getting the upper back/between shoulders. It’s very powerful for its size- and coupled with the heat feature- it does a fantastic job. And it’s hard to beat the price!
