Nice and easy to use - but: temperature readings are way out, by 5 or more degrees C; and I was not aware that moisture readings were limited to <2%, which is not helpful in a really damp room (lots of "Outside limits" readings).

At this point in time cannot give it 5 stars as I really haven't used it. Tried to contact seller regarding the product but was unable to make the link. It identifies dampness in paster but the range they give is between 0.2 and 2.0%. This seems a very narrow range and I would appreciate a little more clarity if someone could advise. Having said that I really only wanted to know if the leak in the shower had been fixed and it seems to indicate that all is well. Am I being too fussy, probably. Will update later. I would still recommend the product however.

I was inspired to purchase one of these meters to check if my motor home had damp as there was no visual signs of a problem. I was further encouraged by the positive feed-back via your Reviews. But when the meter arrived I put it to the test with the thermometer function. I placed it over night alongside two trusted thermometers I have been using for years, in the morning the Zevek showed a 4c discrepancy, so I repeated the test and the result was a 5c discrepancy. I now query the accuracy of the moisture function as I have no means of comparison to see if this is in fact a correct reading. I asked for a telephone number to seek advise and discuss the problem, the reply was "They have no outside lines" So with regret I will have to return the Moisture Meter AS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE despite the glowing reviews. It does pose a question, Have other users compared its accuracy with other thermometers and moisture meters? I would be interested to know. A.J.W.

We had a problem with an oak floor at home that has been recently laid and needed the moisture meter to detect levels of dampness in the floor. The reason for the problems soon became evident after using the meter so we now know what remedial action needs to be taken. The meter will continue to be useful as my husband will use it at work as well as for any other problems that may occur at home. We thought it might be cumbersome but it's not - it slips easily into a pocket - all in all, a good buy.

The moisture meter has proved to be very useful for sorting out the woodstore and checking on a leaky shed roof. Whilst performing the secondtask the usefulness of the backlight function proved itself, as it wouldnot have been possible to read the display otherwise in the dim light ofthe shed. It appears to be a robust little device and hopefully willcontinue to give good service for a number of years. One small point isthat the meter came with a label stuck on the packaging saying it contained lithiumbatteries. In fact the batteries used are alkaline button cells of 1.5volts, as opposed to lithium 3V cells. I have found the informationcontained in the ebooks very useful, particularly the different burningqualites of woods.

Disappointing as I bought this to measure the potential damp in caravan walls. The range for the reading is between 0.2% and 2.0% with no explanation or guide as to the meaning. I took a reading of 0.4% which is normal percentage terms (ie 0-100%) is negligible but in a range with a maximum of 2.0% means what ????

Simple to use. Only slight criticism is that it does not come with batteries. It needs 4 LR 44 LITTLE ROUND ONES. nOT CHEAP.
