I had really high hopes, but found disappointment.
I was really excited about this - I looked long and hard for a dock for my new MacBook Pro, and this had all the features I needed. 87 watts of power delivery, dual monitor support. It was great. Until I used it.I started to wonder if I was in trouble when I plugged a USB hub into it - the same one I had plugged into my Mac. It was fine if I only had one device plugged into it. As soon as I plugged in a second, the light on the hub would go out and neither peripheral would work. Okay, fine. I bought a powered hub so that power wouldn't be a problem. That almost worked.Devices stayed functional-ish. The mouse is a little sketchy. The external hard drive frequently goes to sleep. When the computer itself wakes up from sleep, all of the connected devices sometimes don't respond. Like this morning, I had to unplug the dock from the computer and plug it back in again. And that leads me to the real issue - the display connectivity. When you plug in the external displays, the straight HDMI connection doesn't transmit sound very well - it does, but it's a super weak signal. I had to move it over the display port - which is actually HDMI with an active display port adapter. So, at least I had a solution to that one.But wait, there's more. When I dock the computer, it takes about five seconds for the HDMI monitor to show up and over ten for the display port monitor to show anything. Plus, there's no guarantee that the monitors will be in the same order. I don't know if this one is a problem with my MacBook or with the dock, but the monitor on the right is on the left and vice versa - so sometimes I have to go into settings and switch it.The biggest issue with it, though, is that it's very temperamental. It doesn't like to be touched. If one of the USB devices stops responding and I have to unplug it and plug it back in, as soon as I touch the unit, one or both of the monitors will go out. If one does, then usually the other will when I try to unplug the one that went out. It's an exercise in frustration, to say the least.I really loved the idea of going from the five cords I had plugged into my old MacBook to just one - but this dock isn't it. Well, technically it is, but it's really failing in execution.Oh - as an aside - I did send them a message on Amazon asking if the behavior I was seeing was normal or if I maybe got a bad unit. No response.UPDATE 12/3/18 ***After using the dock for about six months, my opinion on it has changed some.Peripheral issues - I've not really seen this happen in a while. Every now and again, my peripherals will stop responding and I'll have to reboot the device, but it really doesn't happen very often. Also, the mouse worked better once I moved the receiver closer to the mouse. Turns out my battery had drained to the point that signal was *almost* strong enough to work all the time.Display issues - It's still really slow to start, but so are other docks. I used a HyperDrive USB C Hub for a while, and it took about the same amount of time. As far as the display switching, the HyperDrive was actually significantly worse about it. It switched the monitors around almost every time my computer went to sleep. The more I played with it, the more it seems like that might be an issue with the MacBook Pro, not the dock. The issue with the monitors going out if you touched it turned about to be static electricity. It must not be shielded very well, and I have a glass desk. Sometimes just touching something else on the desk would make the monitors flicker. Anyway, I put the dock on a mouse pad, and the problem went away. After my initial review, another issue did come up. The HDMI port seemed to stop working altogether. I contacted the seller, and this time they did respond with a couple of troubleshooting tips. When those didn't work, they offered to ship it back to Taiwan to be worked on. They tested it thoroughly, but couldn't reproduce the issue. After they shipped it back, I recorded the issue and sent it to them, but it turns out that the unit doesn't support having a monitor plugged into the first display port and HDMI at the same time. Sometimes it works anyway, but the manufacturer told me that it isn't designed to work. I now have it plugged into the second display port and into HDMI, and it's working fine. So, in a nutshell, it does work better than my initial assessment, even if it can be a little quirky - but less so than the HyperDrive I was going to replace it with. Because of that, I've upped my review to three stars. I didn't go higher than that because it is still kind of quirky, and it isn't very well shielded. I also think that the DP1/HDMI thing shouldn't have been an issue or that it should have been marked in a way that made it obvious that they weren't intended to be used together.

Works Great with 2018 Macbook Pro
Edit: I had previously had some problems connecting to my keyboard via hub directly to the Mac. New Cables and a change to connect via the Mantiz dock seems to have fixed this. I'd recommend trying different USB cables if this is a problem for you.I replaced the Thunderbolt cable with a 2m active cable from CalDigit to get some extra room and it works great with only one cable. One new nitpick... I bough a USB 3.1 Gen2 drive (SanDisk Extreme Pro) but the USB ports on the dock are USB 3.1 Gen 1. The drive is 4x faster when connected directly to the Mac than to either of the USB hubs. This is the only device I have that shows a perceptible difference. If having a single cable solution with very fast SSD such as this is important to you, perhaps another dock like CalDigit would be a better choice.Original Review:This dock works flawlessly for me. It is small and looks good.I have it attached to my 2018 Macbook Pro 15" and it correctly charges the laptops and drives my monitors. I'm using a 4K Dell 2715Q at 60hz and a Dell P2314H (1080P 60 Hz), both connected via DisplayPort. I've also tested the HDMI output and it works fine. I also have the dock connected to the office network via gigabit ethernet. This works properly with no drivers needed. It shows up in network preferences as "Thunderbolt Ethernet Slot 1". It otherwise behaves the same way as a Macbook with built-in ethernet.I'm not using the docking station's USB ports, instead using a separate powered USB 3.0 hub connected via USB C to USB B cable. My reasoning is that a single 4k 60hz uses 16 to 17 Gbps of bandwidth and getting a second one would start to press up to the maximum available bandwidth. I suspect it would work fine but I haven't tried it.My only complaint is that I wish the thunderbolt 3 port were on the back, and an audio port was available. A card reader of some type would be useful. That said the device works perfectly for me with the features it is advertised with. Recommended buy.

Happy to report that this dock has been working flawlessly ...
I am using this on a MacBook Pro, and I had a problem with another dock not working well for supporting 2 external displays. Happy to report that this dock has been working flawlessly powering 2 displays, charging my computer, and haven't had a problem with the ethernet port or USBs. I also really like that the USBC port for the computer is on the front of the devices instead of the back. My only suggestion is that it could have 2 more usb ports.

One of USB ports does not work
Device has a great built quality. Works great with two monitors in extended mode and charge my Mac Book Pro 15 2019 with full 87W. Unfortunately on of the USB does not work. Contacted support, sent my item to Taiwan, received the response that everything works fine, got the same item back - USB still broken. So support is no help, defects are possible.

Works with loud power supply buzzing noise
It does do what is promised, but creates a quite loud power supply buzzing noise when hooked up. It's so noisy that I cannot keep it on my desktop.

USB is a complete fail for HP Spectre x360 on Windows 10.
Does not work for my on HP Spectre x360 15. I believe that HP did not route both video to Thunderbolt 3, so I can't fault it for not driving dual displays. However, the USB port will give signal for 3-4 seconds and stop for 2 seconds. End result is completely unusable for mouse and keyboard connections. Don't even try higher bandwidth USB3 devices. I'm running latest drivers for everything and Windows 10 Spring 2018 (latest).

Highly recommend extremely high quality of construction and displays nicely in ...
Absolute must have if you have a newer macbook pro. Not sure why all other thunderbolt 3 docks aren't using native display connectors but this one is a life saver. Highly recommend extremely high quality of construction and displays nicely in my set up.
