The Brosisincorp Real Solid Sapele Wood Cutting Board is by far the worst kitchen purchase I’ve ever made. The moment I started using it, the board warped badly after just one wash. The wood absorbs water like a sponge, making it completely impractical as a cutting board. To make matters worse, the surface is ridiculously rough, causing my knives to dull faster than with any other board I’ve owned. The quality is terrible for something that claims to be “solid wood”—it feels cheap and poorly constructed. After just a few uses, the board developed deep cracks, making it unhygienic and unusable. This product is a complete rip-off and should be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the hassle and buy something better.

Sapele is a new wood to me, but hoping this fast growing African tree is a good source of sustainable wood in the future. It’s beautiful board with rich looking grain, explains why it’s being used more and more in different applications.

Gave this to my sister as a gift and she actually gave me the same thing! Been using for months and it’s been perfect. I like that it’s a solid piece of wood and healthier than plastic or composite wood. Looks nice on the counter and easy to clean.
