Smooth but very average
I was tempted to this coffee from the reviews, in hindsight there's either a bunch of forgiving customers or something a tad fishy - at the end of the day it is £16 for a 1kg of coffee, it's ok if you like Italian roast but I am always sceptical of coffees that don't list where the beans come from or what planAs for the flavour it is bitter, as would be expected, with a very smooth after taste - presumably the beans are Arabica varieties due to the flavour but that's as far as I can go with identifying them. From reviewing the listing I should have stayed away, who uses as many keywords as they do and explains the product as quality coffee from around the world - it is meant to be a single blend...

Favourite coffee at a fair price.
Best coffee I've had for a while and good value. I never write reviews but when I bought this from Amazon previously it sold out quickly. When the bag was finished I wanted to order more but Amazon was saying there wasn't any available and they may not stock it again.

Very bad
I bought these beans for espresso, after seeing the few good reviews on my hunt for quality beans and variety.Unfortunately, they are not suitable for that. Nor I think for anything else for that matter. The first thing that hits you is the terrible smell as you open the package, I love the smell of coffee beans, but this was horrid (no, the package wasn't damaged, so air leaking in couldn't be the reason). The next thing you can notice is the highly inconsistent roast, just look at the picture with the light and dark colored beans...After this, the taste follows suit of the above characteristics, just plain bad with an unpleasant aftertaste. I gave it a few more shots before I had to bin the first 500g pack and opening the second in hope, that the first was just a fluke. It wasn't and the second was exactly the same quality.I strongly recommend avoiding this brand. At best its quality is inconsistent (if the other reviews are a good indicator), at worst it's the worst coffee you might ever drink.

Makes beautiful espresso, not bitter at all
I was very pleasantly surprised with this coffee! Makes beautiful espresso, not bitter at all, very creamy and lovely subtle chocolate taste to it. Will certainly be trying again

Really not great
Positives: It arrived on time and was well packaged and overall was impressed by the appearance of the productNegatives: Really unusual sweet taste which was somewhat unpleasant, almost like the coffee was old. Won't be tempted to order again.

Insipid and tastes cheap
Definitely one to avoid. Really struggling to get through these beans. Vastly inferior to even your standard supermarket brands such as Lavazza. Uneven roast (as mentioned in another review) Tempted to bin the remainder and put it down to experience
