Great taste, made from birch, great for the teeth. Close to sugar taste, has a very slight "mint" aftertaste.

This is PURE BIRCH XYLITOL of HIGH QUALITY and perfect for use in Dr.Ellie's dental program to heal gum disease, heal cavities and help prevent root canals. Xylitol is nature's way of curing your dental ailments and in turn cures other bodily heath issues. There is no after taste and this is the best price and quality I have found. There are some huge lumps but they break up easily and the package does not tell you thatcit comes with a scoop buried inside, so hunt for it to dose properly. Great stuff!

Good price! Good product! I've been using birch xylitol for years! This is a nice clean product that gives me the sweetness I need without the damaging effects of white cane sugar. It's actually good for and promotes good oral health in humans, doesn't raise human blood glucose as other commonly used sugars like white cane sugar do! But a big factor you MUST BE AWARE of is that it is deadly to pets...dogs, cats, birds, rodents, etc, but SPECIFICALLY MORE TO DOGS as they are more prone to the effects and are infamous for stealing treats off countertops, plates & tables...or may be unknowingly or forgetfully fed something containing xylitol. So for me, I just would not use or bring this product into my home if I had a dog as dogs are much more likely to sneak a treat or drink a beverage with xylitol used in it, it will kill the dog by plummeting the dog's blood sugar and destroying its liver. It is by all means a veterinarian emergency if a dog ingests any xylitol, with observable symptoms that may take 12 hours to manifest such as: vomiting, weakness, staggering, collapse and seizures followed by coma and death. It's certainly a risk to cats, but cats are highly unlikely to eat sweetened foods or beverages like dogs do.

Tastes just like regular table sugar but soo much healthier. Gives me a peace of mind knowing it is healthy for me. I add it to everything: coffee, baking, anything you would like to add sugar too this is a perfect substitute. Also did you know Xylitol is found in gum and is an antibacterial compound? Just dissolve a teaspoon of xylitol in your mouth to prevent cavities! Who knew sugar could prevent cavities lol

I bought this to make my own homemade xylitol. Mints, it saves you a lot of money. It's easy to do they taste good. I wanted it from the birch tree and not from corn. Just please make sure you keep it away from your pets. It's highly toxic for them.

Xylitol is a colorless sugar alcohol and this brand is obtained from birch trees. I actually do not use this to cook with nor do I consume it in anything. I actually purchased xylitol for dental health. I make my own toothpaste and include xylitol as well as using it for oil pulling. There are lots of sugar free products that contain xylitol but I don't consume those either. Xylitol is not good for people with digestive issues so count me in that category. I know xylitol is toxic to dogs and probably many more animals so be careful if using around animals. You know animals are curious so keep in a safe area. This brand tastes sweet, mixes well for my usage, and fits my needs. I consider this a very expensive sugar substitute.

Great sugar replacement

I rec'd my 5 lb bag of Xylitol today. I have been using Stevia for years but after viewing the benefits of Birch Bark Xlylitol I was anxious to try it. Never tasted any artificial sweetener that tasted so much like the real thing! I did was weigh it. The weight was exactly 5 lbs +pkg weight. I used a stainless steel wide mouth jar funnel and a stainless steel 1/2 C measuring cup to transfer the entire contents to 26 oz size Smucker's Natural peanut butter glass jars. (The funnels are sold on Amazon for under $10 and less if on special.) Don't try to use a Plastic one. Too much static created and will stick to funnel sides. Besides, the stainless steel ones last forever. Each jar (not filled to rim) held 2 Cups each-4 in total and the remaining portion was 1.5 Cups. Total 9.5 Cups in bag. I like that the expiration date was until the year 2026.
