The element of surprise for 2 young boys, one being nephew, who have become to old for plush bears and Easter eggs... I gave them money in these cute little boxes and the looks on their faces when the money popped out was so joyous to me...

PROs:* arrived all pre-assembled* ability to customize boxes* came with 3 red stemmed flowers & an "especially for you" tag* comes with a white marker so you can write a message on the box(es)* comes with a bunch of colored heart stickersCONs:* didn't explode when I unboxed it. Instead, you have to manipulate the box by opening it in order for it to, what I call, activate the elastic bands* once I opened/activated each box and shoved them all back in the box and slid the tray out of the box, the boxes oozed out from the tray and was lackluster instead of popping out with some height -- video attached.OVERVIEW & FINAL THOUGHTS:* on its own, the outer box is on the thin side.* when I unwrapped the cellophane wrapper and tried opening the box, I was expecting a flap and didn't realize you had to slide a tray (containing all the pop boxes) out. One end is closed off, but the other end has cut outs for your fingers to slide the tray out but because the outer box isn't made of thick enough material, it's very hard to slide out. I tested it out on someone and basically had to instruct them what to do, which takes away from the presentation of the gift.* exploding boxes are made of sturdier material, like a cereal box, so it holds its form* When I plan to give this to someone, I plan to print out pictures on regular copy paper and glue it on the sides of the box to customize it. I don't think printing on something heavy like cardstock is a good idea because it will weigh the boxes down and likely won't explode as much.* the exploding boxes have a matte finish that seems to leave scratches easily* there isn't much the box can hold. You could try adding dollar bills between each box layer so it could explode with money.Overall, I'd rate this a 3 on execution but a 4 since the exploding boxes customizable and you could decorate it however you see fit.

Bought this to do Suprise gift for my bf. Package came pre-assemble like other customers stated. However, the boxes were poorly put together and it does not explode like it should. You do have to play around with boxes and place them in a way so when you pull out the bottom part they come popping out. I do like the fact that you can customize it to your liking. I would not recommend or buy again. Purchase at your own risk.

We purchased these for our grandchildren and added money, expecting, as in the pictures for it to fly up in the air. In actuality, when they opened them, the contents of the box just flopped out. Very disappointing

I love how you have the freedom to be creative with the box; however the boxes didn’t pop and that kill the moment

I was surprised by how great this little present gimmick worked. It was very easy to set up. We didn't do the photos, but they would obviously make the gift even nicer. The boxes compress inside a larger gift box and we put money on top of the boxes. When my son opened it, the boxes burst out into the room and the money flew like confetti. This is a wonderful idea!
