The review by Styxhexenhammer should probably be taken down or edited. I don't think this person even bought this edition or they would see that it's clearly a reissue of the original Amok title. It is not plagiarizing Schreck. In fact Schreck is listed in this new edition as one of the editors of the book.This title is part of Feral House's Resurrections line, in which they take out-of-print, hard-to-find titles and revive them in print and digital formats for a new generation of readers. Except for the cover, it is a verbatim recreation of the famous Amok Manson book.I also disagree with the comment that you can find most of the materials online. There are images, documents and info in this paperback that I've never seen on Manson sites or in web searches. This is a must-have for anyone serious about the subject but who may not have gotten their hands on the original book. Also a great primer for readers just getting acquainted with this infamous character.

Well, there is a very good story in it written by Manson about the bus. Actually, it was an excellent story! His statement that he gave at the end of his trial, I hadn't seen published before, and that was quite interesting. i really wondered who the mothers were of the two children in the one photograph of Family children. I wonder what happened to all the children? Now, that would be a good book!!!!!!!!! So it is previously unpublished stuff. The intricacy of his scorpion is incredibly artistic. There isn't a lot to the book. It consists of small poems by Manson and some newspaper articles, and other material, but one can easily read this in an afternoon.

The book is very highly regarded by me,for I had it many years ago never knowning I would be able to get it back .So I thank you now for returning it for me thank you.

Lots of original material (photos, lyrics, interviews) here, with authentic Sixties zeitgeist intact. But Manson's meanderings and porno-biographical attempts at "writing" - not to mention the editorial fan-boy drivel attempting to exculpate Manson and/or paint him as some sort of theosophical giant - are execrable, and not enhanced by the sixth-former level "artworks" by the editorial contributors, depicting their countercultural 'martyr' as some sort of hero.... Don't waste your money: I wish I hadn't.
