TPOB Troll Blackout Pack

A little over a year and half after purchase I am still amazed at the quality and performance of these TPOB Troll hair clippers. I purchased the pair for traveling around the world solo for self care but quickly realized carrying both was to much unnecessary weight in my one large backpack that I have been living out of for 1.5 years now. So I brought the smaller Troll trimmers with me and they to this day work and cut like the day I first opened them from the nice box they were delivered in. I use these to shave my head, trim facial hair and shave my whole body. I’m moderately hairy and shave my whole body once every two months, and shave my head, trim beard, 1-2 times a week. These clippers are amazing. Not only is the quality of the cut great but the battery life on these is impressive. I do rinse them in soapy water when I’m done and usually use a little bit of coconut oil to lube them. These are my best options while living in Asia and have proven to work. Today I shaved my head and body and couldn’t stop thinking about how much I love these compact clippers. So here I am making a well deserved review. They’re convenient, long lasting, and pretty much cut like a razor. I’ve never had a pair of clippers cut as well as these and I have shaved my head/body my whole life. I’m 42 and will be a customer of TPOB for life. These clippers are top notch, you won’t regret it.

After spending extensive amounts of money on other Clipper companies, I decided to bite the bullet with these TPOB Trolls. I had purchased the TPOB MINI SKULL Blackout shaver before and I was by far easily impressed. When I seen that the trolls came in a blackout too, I hesitated a bit but then decided to go for it. I had dropped my FX3 clippers prior to this, and I needed something budget friendly that could at least set guide lines and blend nicely, so I ordered them.I started to see videos and reviews on them, and since they all advise you to zero-gap both clippers and trimmers, which kind of worries you because you’re expecting to get something to hit out the box.Nonetheless, when I received them, there was something I noticed right away. The guards feel like really thin plastic, which is okay, I could use the babyliss guards with this set up so it’s a win. I also noticed a bit of play in the charging stands but I placed a clipper and trimmer band around them and it now fits snug!Upon zero-gapping and fully charging them, I enjoyed the kick these things had to them. I started thinking, how a goblin motor would hit in this but that’s for another convo👀. The trimmers. THE TRIMMERS. Zero-Gapped, these are HITTERS. The Psycho Blades on the Troll was a pretty good idea, and if you think that the psycho blades hit, wait until you Zero-Gap the XO Graphene clipper Blades🔥.My first two haircuts, with these came out really nice. The blending I was able achieve in these, was blurry for me, to say the least. The way these clippers set the guidelines too🙏🏽 the half attack technique makes your cuts almost faster and easier to finish. That technique alone, with is clipper, I promise you will not go back🔥. Highly recommend you check these out. Other trolls simply don’t have this set up, so I recommend you get THESE💯🤝🏽

Kinda shocked. They look nice, cut great, and feel great in the hand. Then less than 4 months of use, they just quit working. Really disappointed. No different than Oster, Wahl and the rest. Just crap.

Honestly don't bother with this bundle. Just go with the Troll trimmer, because the Troll clipper is middle of the road trash. Trimmer cuts nice clean lines, and is great on detail work. The clipper is meh, I don't even recommend them to a new barber. Just so middle of the road, and the power switch for some reason just feels wrong. I can't even tell you how much I hate this clipper, feels weird, cuts just average, and yes the switch is the worst of any of the clippers I own.

I’ve been a barber for 10+ years and have tried them all. The Troll bundle is a must have. The clipper and trimmer both rip through bulk. The clippers give a smooth blend and are great for skin fades and tapers. The trimmers are quiet and the legendary Psycho blade lives up to the hype. Rips bulk and gives crisp lines. This bundle is 10/10 and that’s not even mentioning the unreal price!

I used these machines based on a friend’s recommendation. I use it to cut my children, siblings and familys hair as well as my beard. The machine worked fine and the trimmer is excellent. The issues I had with the clipper is that the battery gave out 4 months after buying it. I hadn’t used it for a couple of weeks and now it won’t hold a charge. The trimmer is fine though. I tried plugging in the clippers directly and they turned on, however it was weak and the maching just shut off as soon as it was unplugged. I don’t like that I have to pay for return shipping to get it repaired, as this should not have been an issue. I also purchased the premium guards which don’t stay on the clipper very well and have fallen off several times - this is something that took some getting used to. For now I’m going to stick with the Andis Master until I get the replacement. I would recommend not getting the premium guards except the basic ones that come with the machine look and feel super chea - not something you’d expect from a machine with such a great name.
