I have thick hair that's about armpit length. I used to have a wet brush and I loved those brushed. I had one for a long time, needed to replace it, and the replacement broke within a month (the plastic on the back of the brush cracked? It was made out of a different material than my old brush so they might've changed them I'm not sure). I did some research on the longhair and hairscience subreddits (I highly recommend them 10/10) and learned that boar bristle brushes are supposted to be good for distributing oil throughout your hair. As someone who gets an oily scalp and dry ends, this very much intrigued me. I've heard that 100% boar bristle brushes can be harder to use, so I went on the hunt. I found this hair brush, saw that it had good reviews and, despite the expensive price (I think I paid closer to $20 for mine which is way more than how much I usually spend on a hair brush), purchased it.I LOVE this hair brush. To be honest I use it as part of my self hair routine. The little insert said to spend a long time brushing your hair in sections and it's so relaxing. It feels so nice on the scalp and definitely distributes the oil. The little comb that comes with it definitely helps get the hair out, but I've been having trouble getting dust out (idk why I get dust in all of my hair brushes). Despite that, the brush works wonderfully. My boyfriend has even noticed a difference in my hair. It's definitely less frizzy and, since it distributes the oils throughout my hair, it definitely helps on day 2 or day 3 of not washing my hair.I haven't used any other boar bristle brush so keep that in mind; I'm not sure how it compares to other boar bristle brushes. I'm not sure how long these types of brushes are supposed to last, but I've had mine for a couple of months now at least and it works just as well as when I bought it.Apparently there are inconsistencies with the little comb that comes with it? Mine is the same as the one in the picture. I didn't get a cute little bag like some customers got which sucks. It seems like that would help the brush from being damaged during travel. Maybe you're supposed to just use the box it comes it during travel? I just don't want to hurt my baby. This brush is my life, ha.

This is a really nice brush for the price. I have long, thick Asian hair and this brush makes my hair look fabulous (shiny and full of body). The nylon tips are rounded so they easily pass through my hair, gently massaging my scalp while the boar bristles evenly spread conditioning oils throughout my hair. Since using this brush, I don’t have to wash my hair daily but every few days. My picky teenage daughter loves this brush so I have to buy one for her otherwise mine will disappear. I will also buy one for my mother. Another reviewer wrote that the boar bristles did not touch their hair. Please see my attached photo of the brush profile and note the bristle length. The nylon bristles are about 1/4 inch longer (approximate width of a pen) than the boar bristles so people with really short hair may not have the same results as me.

This isn't the 1st boar bristle brush I've had but it's been years and using one got away from me.This is a really nice high quality brush.I have shoulder length thick hair so having the rows of nylon bristles gets the brush through my hair easily.The handle is comfortable,I think it's bamboo,and makes for easy control.There is a small wide toothed bamboo(?)comb included which is perfect for cleaning and "de-hairing"the brush,also for combing and detangling.Instructions are included for cleaning and care.Ive been using this brush 2-3times daily for about a week including longer brushing section at night.What a difference!My hair is a lot less fly a way even in humidity and I'm getting some serious shine going again with minimal hair product.With the monthly $$ I spend on salon color it's stupid not to take better care of my hair and this is the most important part.The price of the brush very reasonable and the customer service great.I'll probably get a back up soon.

I really like this brush so far. The combination of natural and nylon bristles makes all the difference - brushes with just the natural bristles won't go through my hair. Using this brush makes my hair look shinier and it didn't cause any static. I haven't washed it yet, but will update if there are any problems. One thing to note - once you buy this, you will get an email from the seller with an attachment containing care and use instructions. OPEN IT! I've read that other commenters complain there were no care instructions (and there aren't any included with the brush), but this follow-up has everything you need. Among other things, like how to wash the brush, It explains the use of the little comb that comes with the brush. If I were the seller, I'd figure out a way to include this "handout" in the box, but it's nice to at least have it sent.

I really like this brush and love the way it brushes the tangles out of my hair. It also massages my scalp gently. But after using it only a few times, it started using the plastic bristles right away. It has lost several already. I did not expect it to do this for the type of brush that it is and for the price. Therefore, I did not give it 4 or 5 stars on sturdiness or durability.

I was so excited to receive my Fuller brush! My Grandmother swore on these brushes. She bought me several over the 1960’s and 70’s! I have never had a brush since that did not break the ends off!! I recently bought two paddle brushes from the drugstore and they were horrible and when I brushed my hair it sounded like fingers scratching down a chalkboard! Then I thought about the wonderful brushes I had in my youth, so I did a search on amazon and found them immediately! I ordered right away and I was not sorry! These brushes are still of very high quality and brushes through my very thick naturally curly hair with ease and no pulling or breakage! The way it messaged my scalp was so amazing! No other brush will ever touch my hair again!
