The perfect torch?
This is the perfect torch. I've been using it almost every day for around 6 months and I'm still amazed at how small and bright it is. Supplied rechargeable battery lasts a long time on 3rd highest power level, which is more than adequate for most tasks. It has been used often outside in the rain and quality and finish seems better than the established big names. I believe the lumens rating is fairly accurate and not inflated like some manufacturers. This is my new go-to brand for torches.

Very bright, small and well built
Mega bright for such a small size, with rechargeable battery supplied and a great luminous diffuser also.

Excellent reliable EDC; not convinced by v3 over v2
The Lumintop Tool AA is an excellent little flashlight. I’ve carried one (the v2 version) in my pocket for several years and used it pretty much every day, and it has stood the test of time very well. The low and medium settings are fine for most purposes, while high and turbo give a serious amount of light when you really need it for a few minutes. The ability to run with AA as well as 14500 batteries is potentially very useful.I’m pleased with this v3 but I’m not sure it’s an improvement over the v2. The Osram P9 emitter is a little more efficient than the Cree XP-L HD in the v2, but the colour rendering isn’t great and the beam pattern is not as uniform. I think the claimed increase in distance has as much to do with the brighter centre spot as with the efficiency of the P9.With the clicky switch it tail-stands quite well. The supplied diffuser is a nice idea but indoors it’s easier just to point the beam at the ceiling. The magnetic tailcap makes the torch significantly shorter but means you have to twist it (or the head of the torch) to turn it off and on or change modes. In a pocket I suspect it would turn on too readily – and turbo mode could burn you!The strobe mode is pretty much useless, not least because you’d struggle to activate it in a real emergency. Thankfully it’s well hidden, so there’s little chance of turning it on by accident.I’ve never much liked the illuminated tailcap. It uses enough current (~0.5 mA) to drain the battery over a period of weeks, while not being bright enough to locate the torch if you drop it, say in long grass. It is bright enough to find in a tent or on a bedside table, if that’s your thing. My v2’s tail light was blue; the v3 has a red-green-blue colour-changing light show that irritated me enough that I got out the soldering iron and fixed it for good.

Versatile
I have the older version of this torch which is still going strong. When I seen this one I had to buy it. Slightly more powerful and versatile as I use the diffuser so that I can use it as a little night light. Love it

Good size, weight, and brightness. A bit too expensive
A necessary ebil, really. I bought this to replace an existing torch. This torch is indeed brighter, slimmer, and lighter, so all of those are great points in comparison to my old cree torch. It also comes with a lithium rechargeable battery that's AA sized, with a USB-C socket; a silicone lens shield of sorts, 2 spare o rings, and an extra screw in butt end that doesn't have the power button. Mine did not come with any "head band".For the money, at around £25, it's extremely expensive. Time will tell if the price tag is worth it.

Excellent little torch
Very good all round - only wish there was a moonlight mode. For my £25.99 I received in the box one torch, one lanyard, one diffuser, spare o-rings, a magnetic tail and a 920mah rechargeable battery. No complaints there. The torch comes assembled with a clicky tail and, as others have noted, this is subtly illuminated and causes parasitic drain of the battery - however, this occurs only with a rechargeable battery, with an AA battery installed this feature does not function and therefore there is no parasitic drain. If you use a rechargeable battery and don’t want the parasitic drain then you can of course swap in the magnetic tail and then the problem is removed (though, of course, some might consider at the cost of the introduction of a new problem). For what it’s worth, the diffuser also perfectly fits the Fenix E12 (should you own one as I do - as the diffuser on the Tool AAA perfectly fits the Fenix E01).

Nice bright little pocket torch
I have had several of these torches over a period of time, one lost and two given to family, with zero ever failing. They are bright little pocket friendly torches that can be run on disposable batteries or high milliamp rechargeable batteries with latter giving the best performance.
