The product its self is very well made with strong materials, the thing that lets this product down is you will struggle to fine a handlebar mount to fit this bracket. The ball joint fitting it not as common as i expected so i had to return this.

I do not write many reviews; most things I purchase are neither good enough or bad enough to bother. That is not the case with this phone mount - it exceeded all expectations both in quality an usability. It works perfectly with my RAM ball mount and there is no question that my phone is safe clamped in this device. My only gripe, and it is a minor one, is that the turnscrew needs to be pulled out to tighten/loosen the clamp; I nearly took pliers to it because it won't turn while against the frame. (no instructions were included, perhaps a small sticker saying pull out knob to adjust). Anyway the design is brilliant as it protects the screw from being inadvertently loosened; it kind of reminds me of the Submariner watch where the crown needs to be unscrewed before winding or adjustment, Machining tolerances and finish quality are excellent also. No more wrapping an elastic around my phone mount for insurance, Well done!

I use this phone holder on the dash of my boat. With the Ram style mount it can be adjusted to fit in most any position. Once the mount is tightened it becomes very rigid and will stand up to a rough ride. The thumb screw tension adjustment allows easy removal, insertion and when tight, will hold the phone securely while traveling very rough water. The cradle allows charging while the phone is being securely held. A straight charging plug in the phone end is preferred. The 90 degree plug ends will work, but not the best. The 90 degree plugs also create a problem when removing the phone from the cradle. I haven't found any problems yet. The cradle has just recently been put into use. It is being subjected to the sun, moisture and vibrations. Generally the rubber coated balls are the weak spot in Ram type mounts. I will see how long this one last.
