S&S/Simon Element Preppy Kitchen Super Easy: 100 Simple and Versatile Recipes

Thank you John and family, Preppy Kitchen Super Easy is my new favourite thing!I’m a faithful watcher of John’s Preppy Kitchen YouTube channel and reader of the Preppy Kitchen newsletter (and website). Other than the old family favourites, the overwhelming majority of recipes that I’ve saved and use in the past few years are Preppy Kitchen recipes. I was hesitant to buy the new book as well but there have been so many irresistible hints of deliciousness that are to be found only in this book - that I finally caved and bought it just before pre-ordering ended. And am I ever glad I did! In addition to the wonderful new recipes, there are the beautiful photographs to look at, the educational sections and the lovely extra writings to read and to get to better know John and his family with.It’s seriously a great addition to my coffee table collection so it currently lives on the coffee table, not in the kitchen. I love this book and am a messy cook who doesn’t want to ever mess up the book in the kitchen. So to solve this problem I take a photo of the recipe I’m going to use and then take my iPad to the kitchen. So far I’ve made the Quick Pickled Onions (different than the standard and so yummy!), Candied Jalapeños, Skillet Apple Dutch Baby, Summer Wild Rice Salad, Quick and Easy Mexican Rice and more. When the weather cools, then I’ll start on the baking; John’s baked goods and methods are always the very best of the best!

I love John Kanell! This is his second cookbook, filled with wonderful recipes and lovely photography.John's recipes are easy, delicious, and down-to-earth. He explains everything clearly, from ingredients to mixing and assembling to serving. I am an experienced cook and baker, and I constantly learn new things from John Kanell, whether from his lovely cookbooks or his wonderful YouTube videos.I had pre-ordered this book, and it arrived early, in perfect condition. It's a good, hard-cover volume that contains some of the most delicious-looking recipes. I will be making many of these simple dishes for my friends and family in the coming holiday season. Fall is the perfect time for warm, comforting gatherings, and John will be with us in all his culinary glory!Thank you, Chef Kanell, for another rich volume of scrumptious foods!

This book is excellent. It has everything from how to make dressings, pickled onions to delicious salmon and one-pot recipes. There are tons of things that cought my attention and most importantly I dont feel overwhelmed. The recipes are almost all 1-page long and really look simple. I feel like I can incorporate multiple ones to my daily routine and it wont take more than 30-45 min. I am super stocked and I love John Kanell. This is by far the best cookbook I have!

Just received my copy of this book today. Not only is this book absolutely gorgeous but the recipe selection is outstanding! Finally a recipe book that you want to try every single recipe! Highly recommend it!

I follow this chef via Youtube so when I heard about his cookbooks, I had to get them! Lot of variety, good descriptions and instructions. Overall would highly recommend. Additionally, would make a good gift for a home cook or someone who wants to learn how to cook since many of the recipes are also a video on Youtube so having that visual may be helpful as well!
