Product Description Bearded Dragons are Australian members of the family of Agamidae. They are large, spectacular and easily tamed lizards that have proved quite easy to breed in captivity and are popular with petkeepers. A number of colour forms have been selectively bred. Nearly all agamids are showy lizards, many of which are colourful and have crests and other ornamentation designed to make them look bigger to predators and rivals, and more attractive to the opposite sex. The book is written in a very accessible and easy to understand style and is illustrated with a wealth of colour photographs and illustrations, which visually support the comprehensive text. About the Author Chris Mattison, BSc, FRPS has an honours degree in zoology from the University of Sheffield and specialises in the natural history of reptiles and amphibians. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and a member of several herpetological societies. Over the years he has made many field trips to various parts of the world, including visits to North, Central and South America, the Galapagos Islands, southern Africa, East Africa, South East Asia, Borneo and Madagascar, to study and photograph reptiles and amphibians, and other wildlife. Chris has lectured in the UK, Sweden, Finland, Holland and the United States on the natural history of reptiles and amphibians and their care and breeding in captivity. Since 1982 he has written over 20 books and many magazine articles on these topics.

Buy the one from lance jepson, much better, more thorough, scientific, accurate and specific
I found this book too basic and a bit dry when it comes to setting the vivarium etc. Might be good for children but not for adults, even beginners if they are seeking something more thab can be found online in any beardies website (which is what this book really provides).I Didn't also like the fact thatmost of it actually describes reptiles other than the bearded dragon so the title is somewhat misleading, although the beardie is the most described soecies, there are definitely too many oages on other reptiles which really makes it too broad. O prefrr the bearded dragon book from lance jepson. Much more accurate, scientific and in depth.Far superior in all respects

beardies rule
Really excellent guide would have been 5stars if it was totally based on berries as it is nice to know about other lizards but not essential for me
