Best shoe for my son yet
We got these in a size bigger than what my son wears because he wears ortho inserts. The yellow inserts were a bit difficult to remove and I was hesitant to pull them out but his therapist yanked them out and no issues with the shoe. I can't comment on arch support since my son is wearing the inserts (thus has the support he needs) but love the shoe.It was a bit difficult getting his foot in with the inserts to begin with, but it only took a couple of tries to realize all we needed to do was pull the tongue as far forward as possible to get the elastic loose as possible, then his foot gets in rather easily. Although some days I wish we kept a shoe horn by the door where we keep the shoes! The elastic is tight which is good because my son will undo the strap and he can't get the shoe off (which he would do ALL the time with his other shoes). The ankle support is really good, not overwhelming so he has good range of motion but still high enough and stiff enough to give him support. He has CP (Cerebral Palsy aka brain injury) so he's still learning to walk. Haven't had any issues with his feet either pronating or supinating (which we have had issues in other shoes). As for the style, the navy is awesome and seems to match with everything!Definitely recommend this shoe!

Really narrow even for skinny feet
Really narrow and difficult to get on a toddler foot. I've never seen toddler shoes come this narrow but we did get some use out of them. We have a skinny kid but if I bought the next size up I'd definitely get a wide version of it. Worked pretty well for hiking in the woods despite the extra time it takes to widen them to get my sons foot in.

Meh
I got a good deal on these so I shouldn't complain too much. But the way that they are designed makes is extremely difficult to get on and off my little guy's feet. I purchased the "wide" size and they seem quite narrow still. More narrow than his other "regular" shoes. I do like Stride Rights, however, but my experience with this pair just hasn't measured up.

Nice Shoes for Kids
These shoes are great for my son; it is hard to find shoes that are high tops for children. My son has weak ankles and works with physical therapy and his PT requests that I get his high top shoes (easier said than done). Stride Rite shoes are what his PT prefers for him. I couldn't find any on the Stride Rite website so I was lucky to find these on Amazon. These shoes provide the ankle support he needs; and are stylish (something Mommy wanted). We are all happy.

I bought these for a good price well in advance of my son wearing them but he just started about 3 weeks ago and has not complained at all. He has a variety of shoes to choose from and always goes to this pair. Since they are more of a high top sneaker, they are a little harder/stiffer to get his foot into but really not a big deal. Stays on well, constructed well as I would expect from Stride Rite, and overall a nice shoe!

I am so disappointed. I loved these shoes and the price was awesome. I purchased 2 pairs one in a half size bigger we needed and the second pair a whole size bigger than I needed. I had read on a few reviews that the shoes were not wide enough and hoped that would help. Sorry to say it didn't. The shoes are too narrow and I purchased them both in wide width. These are not wide enough for my 18 month old grandson. Just wanted to let others know people are correct when they say these are not wide enough!!!

Hard to get my 2 years foot inside the shoe ...
Hard to get my 2 years foot inside the shoe because it's a high top. Normal standard stride rite but didn't work for us.

Every time my son's foot gets bigger I buy another pair of these. They are great shoes! I always buy boots for my toddler to make sure his ankles are well supported. These come up and support well. One of my favorite features is they are machine washable! They have some breathable netting so they aren't a good shoe to wear when it's rainy. Your child's feet will get soaked quickly.
