Does not work well with lightburn unless you have an extra large bed
When I got it, I realized It had a fisheye lens which makes it a problem. If you don't have an extra large bed, the sizing's completely off and if you turn it sideways it scales it down too much and it's just a nightmare to work with.

Works perfectly with LightBurn software and my 60 watt laser.
I've been using Lightburn for over a year and have wanted to add a camera to the setup for some time, but the Lightburn cameras were a little too pricey for my taste, esp. knowing there were better options. After doing a lot of research I finally landed on this little guy and I am not disappointed. The camera has a very wide 118 degree angle of view that allowed me to mount it under the lid and still be able to see the entire 20"x28" work area clearly. The unit ships as just a tiny camera mounted to a tiny PC board, so knowing it needed a case, I decided to use my skill as a 3D artist and 3D print one. It turned out perfect, its about the same size as a business card, and very easily mounted to the lid using high quality double sided tape. Once I had it attached, I ran the USB cable to the PC, plugged it in and the camera installed all by itself, no problems and no driver, it just worked. So in Lightburn I selected the option '16mp USB Camera' in 'Settings' and went through the calibration process and within about 20 minutes I was up and running. It really is great being able to accurately place materials on the cutting bed and locate them visually in the interface. I think next I'm gonna have to install better LED lighting so that will allow features like the auto trace to work too, bit for now I'm happy with this simple and overall fairly inexpensive upgrade to my system. Highly recommended.

10 fps. Another ELP dud.
Ok this is my second ELP camera where they advertise different resolutions and frame rates to reality. Max 10 fps, not 30. Don't buy.

High-res scanner quality resolution
ELP 16MP Wide Angle USB Camera Module for Raspberry Pi and Computer 4K Mini UVC USB2.0 Video Webcam Board with 118degree No Distortion Lens IMX298 Industrial PC Lightburn Camera for Laptop,Jetson Nano (H120 No Distortion Lens)This is an absolutely fantastic camera for anyone who is designing their own high-resolution optical scanning system. In it's highest setting of 8000x6000 pixels (48 megapixels), it can image a letter-sized (8.5x11 in) piece of paper at 705 pixels-per-inch (or 498,000 pixels-per-square-inch). For photogrammetry applications, like OpenScan, this camera has tremendous performance and resolution. Please note that this is made for development and DIY applications and comes as a two-board PCB module without any mounting brackets, just as in the product photos. If you've got fabrication skills, this shouldn't be a problem and if you've got a 3D printer, you can find housings on many of the public 3D-model forums that can be adapted. Although the product page says the brand is IFWATER, the box that mine came in says it's made by ELP and that the model number is ELP-USB48MP01-AF70. Their website gives more details on the device specifications and I've listed the ones of particular interest below. Overall, a great project camera! Highly recommend.Focus speed: about 200msDynamic Range: 82dBResolution and Frame Rate:8000x6000 @ 3fps, 4000x3000 @ 12fps, 3840x2160 @ 30fps, 1920x1080 @ 30fps, 1280x720 @ 30fps

Not exactly what I expected
I had a purpose in mind when I ordered the ELP 16MP Wide Angle USB Camera Module - including 3-D printing a case so I could use the camera for capturing videos of my CNC machines at work; i.e. my 3D printer, laser engraver, and router. I still will likely do this, but I'm not as enthusiastic about it as I was when I ordered the camera. After trying out the unit and experimenting with it a bit I have to admit to being a bit underwhelmed. I think I can best describe this by listing the things that I am a bit disappointed with. Some or perhaps all of these issues are possibly solvable, but it seems that at the price point this camera should be easier to work with sans having to search for workarounds. Here are my observations for now: > The image sensor for this module is a Sony IMX298, capable of 16MP image capture and 4K videos. The problem is, I've tried a couple of camera apps, including the one built into Windows 10 and 11, and (per the manual) tried to download Amcap (which when I searched brought up a link to "Debut", which is maybe Amcap's new name?) Anyway the best resolution I could muster from this camera with these apps was 1080P, both for photos and videos. I couldn't get anything close to 16MP or 4K. And when I shot a brief video with the Windows camera app I only got around 10 FPS at the 1080P resolution. I have a pretty quick gaming PC, so I don't think PC horsepower is the problem. > The ad mentioned that this is a "Lightburn camera", but I couldn't get it to work with Lightburn software. I couldn't get past the calibration routine, which would be required to use the module with lightburn. > The USB cable is pretty short (only about 3 feet). At least twice that length would be more useful. > The Sony image chip is rated at .5 lux, but in my testing the low-light performance of this module was rather dismal. On the plus side, I think that the lens on this module is very sharp, and has a very wide angle with minimal distortion. The photo I included with this review of the synthesizer keyboard demonstrates this. I'm not quite ready to give up on this camera, as it's entirely possible the issues I encountered aren't insurmountable. I'll try a bit harder to get it to work with Lightburn, I'll try to see if there is other camera software available that would give me higher resolution and higher frame rates; in short, I'll try what I can. If I have a breakthrough I'll certainly update this review, but for now the best that I can award based on my experiences is three stars.
