Welcome to a good sweet spot.
Buying a monitor is not unlike Goldilocks trying to figure out exactly what porridge she likes. Is it too wide, too small? Too tall, too narrow? Do I need picture by picture or Picture in Picture? Do I need high ppi and usb hub built in? Do I game a lot do a game a little? Do I go with VA or OLED or IPS? These are just a few of the challenges I have had picking what ended up being this monitor. I really feel this is the sweet spot for the professional who uses the screen for both work and play. It’s a VA panel so it has great brightness, 200 MHz speed which is plenty fast for just about every game and picture by picture to have two different worlds up at one time. Add in the built-in KVM switch and it’s one seamless experience. The curvature has been nice, though I wish it was a little more but no big deal. It feels like a 49 inch even though it’s only a 45 inch last but not least I was excited to find this model with the 75 in the model number included USB-C power delivery, which is really great to reduce cord clutter, though the one with the 65 in the model number would’ve been great also as it’s $100 less. Of course, now I found them both a little bit cheaper, but that’s how it goes. I still got a good deal and I would highly recommend this monitor as a great all around screen for most of your needs. In my case if I want bleeding edge OLED, I’ll just play PlayStation on my TV which of course is LG as well. Such great products! Good luck in your search.

Working great for year of gaming
Great monitor. Though I would say, if I were to do it again, I would go one more size up. Double wide monitors look vertically short compared to traditional monitors.

Much better than dual 24”!
I grew tired of the dual setup of 24” monitors. I felt like there was a lot of wasted space and I couldn’t really work with 3 separate windows very efficiently, so I wanted something bigger. A 49” was just a hair too big for me to fit with my Klipsch bookshelf speakers on my desk, so I landed on this 45” unit. This model was on sale vs the cheaper version (same picture quality) so I went with this, otherwise I just would have bought that one. It works exactly as I expected, plenty of room to have 3 windows open with almost full view of each. Colors are great, contrast is great, viewing angles are great, and the price wasn’t too bad. I would suggest you just go with a 49” if you have the space though. The price is maybe $100 more and at this price point just go for it.

Amazing for productivity, decent for anything else
I found that this monitor does exactly what I wanted out of it. A way to dock both my personal and work laptops with one cable, and have it feel like I have dual monitors. This is great because my work laptop only supports one external monitor, so my dual monitor home office setup felt useless. While I only really use it for office use (I really dislike ultrawide gaming), the high refresh rate is still awesome since I'm used to 144Hz for my gaming PC and 120Hz on the native display for my personal laptop. The main reason I'm taking off a star is that I feel text may not be the most crisp I've ever seen, and the viewing angles are OK. Nothing looks terrible, but you can definitely see extra light bleed and blurriness towards the last inch or so on each side. That being said, it's an amazing productivity booster and well worth the price, just note that if you have a good gaming monitor at the moment, it probably has a better picture quality than this (but note it doesn't look bad either).

wide screen is great for work
I bought this monitor primarily for work/productivity and gaming second. It is a VA panel so there is some viewing angle differences but this does not bother me. Color accuracy seems right and have own this about 2 months now without any issues. I did buy the insurance so durability is a non-factor at this point but hopefully i will not have to use it.

I bought this monitor twice! And returned it twice!
All the features I was looking for in a monitor was in this one package! As I thought first time I bought it it did great with my productivity stuff which was amazing. But had issues in the gaming area the monitor kept going dark at random times I was gaming I looked into every seething in my computer to see what the issue was and could not find one solution so I chucked it up to be the one monitor that may have been a lemon but I felt that this monitor was perfect for both productivity and gaming options I bought again same issue with the gaming side the scree kept going black I talked to lg reps and tried all the options they gave me still same issue I would give this monitor a 10 for productivity and a 3 for gaming. Also I don’t recommend buying monitors from amazon they have held on to my money for about a month and still waiting I understand checking the monitor but it’s a bit annoying to have to wait so long to get your money back I personally will not be purchasing any more monitors from Amazon because of the lengthy wait to get your money back.

Amazing Screen! Fullfills the productivity Needs
I got it on Cyber Monday sales, while it took a week to come, I really fell in love as soon as i unboxed it. It was super easy to setup. Pro Tip: Do not throw the box or the foam away, it has an easy to carry design which would be useful if you need to pack this beast and move to a new place. I am a sucker for USB-C connectivity charing my Macbook Pro and Macbook Air. Hence, I got the version that has the feature. I have a lot of fun using the screen! Mostly use it for productivity tasks. It is a ~45 inch screen ultra wide which means you do get less vertical size. Not a dealbreaker but be mindful. It is like having a super elongated notebook (yes the paper one). I needed to play around with the zoom in/out settings to get what I love. If you can wrap your head around that aspect ratio visually, you are in for a treat. 10/10 would recommend for a casual gaming/Professional work from home setup!

I did quite a bit of research on Ultrawides before buying this one. Even the samsungs and asus 49s had absolutly horrible reviews. Many friends also has issues with dead pixels and monitors just deciding to give up just outside of warrenty. Well so far this LG is great. I always enjoyed LG and have quite a few of their products. Personally I tried a bunch of different games on this monitor along with different font sizes on texts or pdfs. I freaking love this thing, glad I sold off my three 27" samsungs to get this one. Has been worth every penny thus far. I have also been tinkering around with the LG app "On Screen Control" to take advantage of the "split screen" options seeing as how I was replacing three screens for an ultrawide for this main reason. It works great. I love how simple it is, however I had some trouble finding the app on the LG site. After talking to a rep, it was determined that it was not available on the site for this model, so they promptly linked me for another model (the app is the same for all the LG ultragears) and it worked no problem. I also love the feature of being able to plug the mouse and keyboard into the monitor, and it just transfers my mousee & keyboard to whatever I plug the screen into. Even works while using Samsung DEX on my phone. There is also a way to get two PCs to work split screen on this screen, haven't played around with that yet, but will get to it soon. I will update as soon as I get a chance to do that. (I do a lot of repair for freinds/family, and the feature sounds like it would be VERY helpful. One mouse, keyboard & screen for any PC I plug) I played around with the color/brightness settings till I got it where I liked it and saved the profile for my main PC. Personally the image is b-e-a-u-tiful. After Sony; LG has always been one of my favorites for TV. Well now they just might be my favorite for monitors. Unless you have an absolute monster for a graphics card... you're not gonna be running at 200 hz while gaming. I am running a 2070 SUPER and I average around 120 on medium settings on most games. Only time I hit the 200 is when on desktop. I am running a IVANKY 1.4 DISPLAY PORT cable for this. It has only been two days since I received it, so time will tell. I have high hopes for this monitor and I hope it meets those expectations. I will keep this posted, because I am sure I am not the only one afraid to pay over 1000$ for a screen while all the other ultrawides let go just after warrenty. 10/10 so far.

Very high quality and appealing in terms of atheistic. When i tried it at first it was lagging hard i was about to refund. Then i realised that i been using my old monitor HDMI which has a really slow conduction speed. I used the displayport that came from factory then it showed the true colors and beauty of this monitor with 0 issues. I really love it.

This thing is awesome! All my windows on 1 screen and the refresh rate is great! 200HZ makes even the mouse travel smoothly across the screen. Text looks great and I can do everything right in front of me now instead of having 2 separate monitors to the side of my laptop.

Man this monitor is flipping awesome. It literally does everything I need it to do. I was looking for a way to not have so much wires everywhere with buying two extra monitors but this one 45 inches ultra wide took care of all that. I can easily get three split screens on it, perfect for my work from home job. I don’t have any issues viewing things like spreadsheets or monitoring tools. For gaming, it gets the job done as well. I play some pc games and it runs them well. I also plug my Xbox to it and I get a cool 1440p 120fps. I don’t really care much for gaming with it, but for work, this thing is a game changer. I will come back and update after a few months. I pray it lasts. I have always loved LG products because everything LG I own has lasted me for YEARS ****Edit Even after almost a year, this beast is still going strong!! Probably the best purchase I made in 2024. Get it!!

One of Best purchases made. Can't speak about the gaming aspect but for productivity , this is great. I got a laptop, desktop, mouse, keyboard and speaker all connected to massive monitor. Integrated Kvm switch works well. This does require a lot of real estate to fit on desk but it looks great. Excellent for work and movies. Great colours. I got it on sale but was still concerned about the cost and potential defects, but no issues at all. Can never go back to smaller monitors.
