Matin shoulder strap pad stays put
I like to lug my groceries home in reusable bags with straps long enough to fit over a shoulder. But my shoulders are bony and heavy bags hurt! I've tried different kinds of wrap-around straps. They either weren't cushy enough or they tended to slip forward so they were doing me no good. Then I came across the Matin shoulder strap pad. The images show it being used for heavy cameras, but it has solved my comfort problem, and the under surface has exposed rubber that doesn't slip and slide. So far, the Velcro is holding up. But be aware that the pad is quite long, and most carry-bags have two straps that aren't very long at all. What I found works best is wrapping just one strap and placing the loose strap on top of that padded strap. Otherwise it's a struggle to fit things into the bag when both straps are wrapped, and a pain to pull the strong Velcro apart. I've bought 2 of these pads so far. I wish more carry-bags came with holes reinforced with large metal grommets so I could attach longer straps to what I want to carry.

A shoulder saver. Makes cross over purse comfortable
The strap on my cross body purse was uncomfortable. With this piece wrapped around the purse strap at my shoulder I barely feel it. I didn’t realize it would work so well. I travel and this is working out great

Bless this Pad!
This is a bag saver! Literally! I have a laptop bag that has one of the sleekest shoulder straps I've seen (think car seat belts) but one that is also very slippery! This upset me a lot because I like the bag but dreaded using it as it kept sliding off my shoulders. This forced me to keep having to readjust the bag while traversing the streets and made things very cumbersome. I suddenly had the bright idea one day that maybe, just maybe, Amazon would have shoulder pads for these bags/straps. Users must have some way to replace their old shoulder strap pads, right? Turns out there is!Although there were a couple of these shoulder pads listed, I went with the Airpad Matin simply for the good pricing and based on my gut feeling. I've just tested it today for a total commute time of about 40 minutes and I'm extremely happy to say that this shoulder pad is everything I had hoped for! The pad is long enough to cover a good portion of my shoulders and most importantly, it prevents the strap from sliding off! This is mainly due to the bubbles on the underside of the pad. It's a bit sticky and has a very rubbery feeling and it provides a very strong grip on your shirt to hold the bag in place. I rarely had to readjust. The other awesome part is that this shoulder pad (or any other pads in general I'm assuming) helps lessen the weight of the bag on your shoulder. Obviously it's not going to completely eliminate the weight but I felt it lessened the stress on my shoulder a good deal. The installation is dead simple. You simply open up the velcro, place your shoulder strap inside and re-velcro it back together. You are able to slide the pad once sealed so you don't have to get it in the perfect location the first time around. The only thing I'm a bit concerned with regarding this shoulder pad is the sticky bubbles. This is what provides the firm grip when on your shoulders and I'm afraid it will wear off after a short while. But we'll see. At the moment, I'm going to go back and enjoy my laptop bag with new vigor!

My carry strap was killing me!
My carry strap was killing me! As any of you who read my reviews will know, I own (and carry around) waaaay too much camera gear! This convenience of having every conceivable piece of gear with me on a hike comes at a cost - to my back and shoulders! Most carry straps on gear are made with cheesy quality padding - that becomes painful on long hikes. In order to provide much more comfort to my shoulders (and sanity on my hikes), I regularly ‘upgrade’ the straps on my gear by adding a better-quality shoulder pad. This pad has done the trick. It installed easily, and does not slip and slide around on the strap. It is a generous size and has been comfortable to carry my gear.

Good grip and does the job!
Got an Amazon gym bag that had no strap padding. Buying this guy was perfect. Easy to assemble and stays in place. Nice cushion level and seems durable!

Good pad for sling bag strap
I purchased this for my new K&F sling bag. The strap did not have any padding so I went with this pad. It fit the strap nicely and is very comfortable when I wear the strap crossbody. I am very happy with my purchase.

Thick and stiff
The product is well made and does work to keep my purse from slipping. I wish it were not so heavy duty as it’s somewhat inflexible , better for something heavier than a purse.

Comfortable and easy to use, this shoulder pad does the trick!
This shoulder pad basically saved my shoulders from damage by a too-heavy messenger bag. I have a small Patagonia messenger bag which I use which I love. However, given that it's a "mini-messenger bag," it didn't come with a shoulder pad. It was getting so heavy and uncomfortable that I had to buy a shoulder pad that I could strap on easily. This totally fit the bill. The pad easily attaches via Velcro. I love that the pad has a grippy underside so it doesn't slide around. It's really helped in terms of the strap doesn't dig into my shoulders with a heavy load in the bag. It even worked well on a hike to keep the bag in place! Highly recommended!
