Ignore the groaning from the closet
It works very well for small spaces and rooms. I've used it to keep a small cubby of mine soundproof for months now. As I finished installing the J hooks and straps against the walls, I positioned the panels as instructed on the sheet that came with it. They were easy to install, clean, and aesthetically pleasing to look at against the backlight of the interrogation lamp and doggy bowl.I think I may need to order a few more before I finish putting in the pillory, but that should be fairly easy They're affordable too

Helps more than I thought

Good for price
Looks decent after putting up. Does not come with any way of mounting. The panel edges are frayed from a poor cut. Slightly trimming the edges solved this issue and did not affect fit. Panels are very thin. Have terrible echo in the space I put these in. Saw a noticeable difference however I am sure the effect would be better if I used better quality panels. Has about the same acoustic qualities as putting pillows in windows and blankets on walls. Would not suggest for any studio or professional use. They do not look half bad when mounted however, upon closer inspection they do look very cheap.

Not worth it.
After having these for a few months and realizing they are not doing the job I will be pulling them off the door and walls and looking for better alternatives. These are very thing and barely damper the sound. These are so thin you can almost see through the in certain situations. I would not recommend these at all for sound proofing purposes.

Good. Easy to work with.
I've been using these to sound deaden some garage equipment. They help muffle the noise. The foam isn't too dense and it compresses easily. Not sure if denser, firmer foam would be better or worse. This stuff is real easy to work with though. Tearing it lengthwise down on the valleys is dead simple. I started using a razor, but found the razor was catching. It's actually easier to tear by hand than it is to cut.

works well; you don't need as much as you think
We installed to soundproof a trumpet practice room, so my family hears less. They wereeasy to install, with a staplegun on drywall. We measured the effect along the way. The first six square feet (on one wall) removed4 decibels. The next six square feet (on the ceiling) removed another 2 dB. Fifteen moresquare feet (on another wall) removed another 2 dB. And so on, with sharply diminishingreturns in sound reduction. After installing 72 square feet, we removed a total of 11 dB.I had ordered more but returned the rest, as I estimated the incremental sound reductionto be tiny.Moral: you need less than you think because most of the effect comes from the first 10square feet.

Does not soundproof
I bought this product to soundproof a slatted 2 panel door housing an AC unit. I had to buy an adhesive after receiving it which they stated is not needed but how do you mount it? It took an hour and over $60 to be a total waste of time and money. This only reduced the decibel noise level from 56 to 53. Don’t waste your time and money on this flimsy product that does not work.

Great panels
Great acoustic panels. I built a portable vocal booth for voice over sessions/auditions. Plus it's not bad for the price. I used a 48in x 36in (122cm X 91.4cm) Elmer's Tri-fold foam display board to glue the panels onto so I wouldn't ruin my walls. All 12 acoustic panels fit perfectly! I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking to build and/or continuing their passion in music.

Perfectos
