I had this saved in my cart hoping it would go on sale, luckily one day it was! This was incredible deal. I am not an expert, but it appears to be leather, there is no tag attached anywhere on the bag that says it is real leather. the description said it was, but for the price I was not very hopeful. The odor was strong upon opening box, it was definitely stained, and the odor faded quite a bit after 24 hours. I have not carried it yet, but the strap looks heavy duty and is also leather. I did think it would be a little larger, but although my computer won't fit inside, there is plenty of room for folders, office supplies, etc. I think this is a nice and sturdy bag that should hold up nicely for a very long time. it does look a little old fashioned, but I really like it. I think it is perfect for every day. I am sort of rough with things like this, it looks well made and like it can take abuse. Again, sort of plain, nothing fancy, but the one I received is well made and the odor from the staining of leather has faded within 24 hours. it is lined inside, the color of fabric inside mine is a medium shade of green.

Received bag in stated time . Open box and leather bag is in a sealed plastic bag . Open bag and bag has a moldy film and stinks of mold or mildew . Probably could be cleaned but why buy a bag to put all that time into so you can use it when it should be ready to use . Nice quality of leather but poor quality control in storage of bag in plastic . Plastic traps moisture . You would think they know that .

I ordered this case so my daughter didn't have to carry the huge attaché type case her school issued as going along with the school issued IBM think pad. She absolutely loves it. Fits perfectly, great color and very true to what is on line, perfect amount of padding. This was a steal at this price.

I didn't like the way it closed way to much trouble , sent it back .. got a better one
