Had to drain the gas tank for the snow blower for the season, this thing worked like a champ. Suction power is great, worked well to drain all the gas possible from the tank. That said, expect a small workout: there's a reason they make these things with power! It took us two people as each hose was coiled so tightly we had to stretch it out, but worked great :)

If you're looking for a siphon to move pure/clean fluids around this one is very high quality and should serve you well. I looked through nearly every siphon on Amazon to find one with thick walled hose and a quality bulb and valves. Only problem is the check valves are so restrictive in the fluid flow direction that the least bit of tank detritus clogs the flow. I really like this tool but it doesn't work well to clean my nano tanks. Siphoning gas or water I am fully pleased and highly recommend it.

If you plan on using this in an automobile fuel tank or a tank that is unaccessable, I would not recommend it. The hose is not ridged and it won't stay at the bottom of the tank. It will curl up, so you will not be able to remove all of the liquid in a tank.

This hand pump siphon kit works great, I use it to change the water in my tank with great results, the flow rate is a little slow but it's enough for my tank!
