PISTACHIO - Almonds & Hazelnuts In Deluxe Soft Nougat Belgian Carlier 100g

A soft, pale green nougat that is not only generously topped with almonds and hazelnuts, with a few more within the body of the nougat, but pistachios have been ground and incorporated into the nougat to colour the paste. I do not believe that another green nougat had previously been seen since the Continental-produced (French, Belgian, Spanish and Italian) versions' personal discovery in the 1960's or 70's which was always far superior to the British-made product.The combination of nuts is not uncommon as two other brands are known to use it, with whole, halved or broken nuts, as one their flavours but, as they were consumed several months ago, it is impossible to rate them in order of flavour or texture. These probably share top spot with one other for nut content.Not too expensive and pleasant flavours in the mouth.

I’ve not tried it as it’s for a Christmas gift but on seeing it, for how much it costs it doesn’t look a lot. Let’s hope the recipient is happy with it and as sometimes is the case….size isn’t important its the quality. I will add another review when the taste test is complete.
