The Excitement is Real!!
I purchased 5 different types of mushrooms from this company. They all came in and they all look a bit different. I’ll post a picture of all 5 so you can see variety and then just the king oyster so you can see this one specifically. I will wait to pass judgement about any growth or blackens areas or liquid in the bag until after I’ve used them. I’ll also adjust start rating as needed and give updates along the way.

Very developed mycelium
Bag came fully colonized in an air exchange bag. Highly recommend this product, logs are plugged and coated with soy wax.🤞🏻🤞🏻 For fall.

Fun and easy
These Mushroom plugs are easy and fun to grow. I honestly joined a facebook group to learn more and used the bucket method with sawdust and it's been working well to grow inside with.

Should work but no instructions
Drill a hole in a dead tree, tap in the plug, seal with some wax, and wait.Studying the process more, careful selection of the tree is critical. Find a relatively newly dead tree (oak, maple, hickory, hackberry, or ash are good but not pine) that is in full shade and damp soil. Drill the holes on the northern or eastern side, making it about 1/4" deeper than the length of the plug. Gently tap the inoculated dowels in, one per hole. Use a small nail flipped around so the head is against the plug and tap it down to the bottom of the hole. Remove the nail and push some non-petroleum-based wax into the hole, sealing it. Repeat until all the plugs are used, placing 10-15 plugs per 8-foot section of tree. Then wait.
