Spring is way too heavy.
Should have listened to previous reviewer H. Lee, he nailed it.Clamping this to anything more than 1/4" flat requires way too much effort. Half of the clamping force would suffice.Update: Although I did not care for this clamp I went ahead and installed it (tried) on my welder, thinking maybe it would work better than the existing. Allen head stripped out before it got tight. Absolute garbage dont buy it!

You're going to need two hands
This thing looks real sturdy and I don't have to mess with a wire lug so it was just what I wanted. I am not a smurf but also not an ogre so this thing takes two damn hands to open the clamp. Certainly not a quick grab and move it as you work on a project like my old one. I want to give it five stars because it is perfect but the spring in this thing is just insane! Ideally I need something I can grab and move with one hand.

Better than most out there, bought a second
Heavy duty clamps, thick steel frame and strong spring, but nothing an average Joe can't handle.All brass clamps are either fragile when the material have good conductivity, or hardened but less conductive. Can't have good conductivity and strong frame with all brass clamps.Here you get the best of the two, strong frame, good clamping, and good conductivity.After a few months use, bought a second clamp, mig welding is all about good grounds.Get one.

Much Better than I Expected
Very easy to replace, however, the gear clamp is very cheap and I stripped it just barely tightening it. Still for that being the weak point it is a pretty good product.

This is a HEAVY Duty clamp! Very nice Quality... The spring is STRONG! Almost too strong honestly.

Wow strong spring!
The springs a bit stiff but if you work with metal you should know how to deal with that.I actually would rather have a strong spring. This is just what I wanted
