This reproduction early 1900's Adam Steel & Wire Works jailhouse key is brass. William J. Adam founded Adam Steel and Wire Works in Joliet, Illinois. In 1905 Folger Adam entered the business and the company focused on high-security equipment. In 1929, as Southern Steel, they introduced the 2700 mechanical continual motion locking system at Rikers Island Penitentiary, New York, the largest steel-constructed jail in the country.

very happy with this.
I bought this as a present for my grandson. Both his grandparents work in law enforcement and from a small kid to his teen age years has stated that would be his career path also. He has had a fascination for the big keys, old jail keys, ect for years. I was apprehensive about the replicas. When it arrived, I was more than pleased! It is the real deal! Very satisfied with this purchase.

"Facsimile" of a F/A key. Not the real thing. Appears to be brass, size is larger than a real key. Suitable for the movies or someone that doesn't know the difference.

This is a standard size Folger Adam’s key
I purchased as a retirement gift that’s part of a shadow board. It’s a great quality piece. I little polishing and some light sanding it it was ready for the shadow box. Highly recommend.
