When you start learning Korean and you finally arrive in Korea for some immersion, a strange thing happens: everybody who speaks English tries to talk to you in English, and everybody who doesn't speak English refuses to talk to you at all. That's one challenge. But there's another: if you live in a country other than Korea, there's no better way to get practice than to attract random Koreans in public to talk with you. Is that going to happen for you? Probably not, but if you live in a Korean-heavy neighborhood, you never know...
