I have just purchased another pair after 4 years. I am a gardener and these are GREAT. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Comfortable nice and wide, incredibly light - which is a real bonus. I like them as they have a flat sole which is important when working on turf. It's worth investing in a waterproof coating for the uppers. I think 3 years is a good lifespan for something worn everyday.
