Like night and day
I bought this item after being frustrated with a Dixie model, and the result was like night and day. I was able to easily apply this cuff (thanks to the D ring) and hear strong heartbeats on the first try, right where I expected after testing with an automated cuff. Thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and with clear instructions. Really turned around my self-confidence.

Not the most durable
I bought this BP cuff because traditional cuffs are a pain with trying to keep up with the gauge. The loop that attachs the gauge to the cuff always seems to rip so easily. The design of this cuff is the best and very easy to use. Only complaint is that the first time I dropped it the gauge broke into about 3 pieces. I was able to re-assemble it and it worked fine for a little while after that until the cuff developed a leak. I work home health so I'm using my cuff at least 8-10 times a day and it lasted me for approximately 4 or 5 months. Better than most cuffs I've had.

So functional as a student Nurse!
I am in my final year of my masters and nursing I got this my first year of LPN accelerated course. I was having issues with trying to hold the stethoscope the meter and trying to pump it up and slowly let it out. It was a huge issue for me. I was having difficulties right out of the gate so someone has suggested this where it’s all in just one hand and honestly it has been my saving grace I love this. The only thing I wish is that it had a smaller cuff to come with it. I had to do clinicals in a geriatric unit and the little old ladies there that are kind underweight tiny it. The cuff itself was too big so I would have to go and try to maneuver a smaller one for them but other than that, I absolutely adore this! I would highly recommend for any student nurse that’s starting out that this is the go to this is what you should definitely get. If you’re learning it is amazing. Honestly, I could not be happier.✌🏻🫶🏻Overall suggested: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Functionality: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Quality: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Cost:👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Easement: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Easier than I thought...
I have two automatic blood pressure monitors and they never agree. When i go into Doctor's office, it never trends what I see at home. I got this as a gift and figured this would be more accurate. Of note -- you do need a Stethoscope -- of which there are enough cost effective ones on Amazon. While I thought taking my own BP would be difficult, there are YouTube videos that walk you through it. Essentially I use the method where I place the cuff on and put the Stethoscope tucked under just above or near the bend in my elbow and then inflate. That leaves my other hand free to pump up the bulb and then slowly release the pressure. I pump it to about 200 to be safe and slooowly deflate. Some guidance says you should hear a "whoosh" sound to mark your systolic pressure but for me it was just the sound of my heartbeat. Note that you may hear one or two beats higher up the scale followed by silence. If it's not a steady heartbeat, keep going lower. I then slowly lower it again and and wait for the heartbeat to disappear to mark the diastolic. The pressure valve really needs to be turned tightly to close to fill up the cuff. Releasing the pressure has to be done very gently. While easy to inflate, it's obviously not as easy as the automatic devices.I feel way more confident with this device as a true reading. Its helped me pick the automatic blood pressure monitor that is more accurate when comparing readings -- which also happens to be the one also manufactured by this company.Takes some practice but it almost is as easy as the automatic devices.

Automated BP units probably easier for seniors.
Not the easiest to pump the bulb to increase pressure.
