If I tried to use this with a chromebook, how might the backlight work without the software?

My Steel Series 5 has multiple color schemes per line of keys with variations of green, blueish green, blue, blueish purple , pinkish purple and it comes in waves.

The cable that actually comes out of the keyboard can be routed 1 of 3 ways. If you look at the rear of the product in the photos, you'll see 3 distinct channels for the cable to be routed. Out the middle top, out the top left, and out the top right. It's basically just for a tiny bit of additional cable management but otherwise doesn't have any impact on the product
