Great for it's class
For the short time I used this, it was extremely reliable. I ultimately got the 2.5gbe model instead to complete my network upgrade. Just like any Ubiquiti product, the setup was extremely simple. Unless your ISP just doesn't offer anything above 1gbps, it's worth spending the extra for the faster model.

The core
No issues at all. This is expected of Ubiquiti. Best products on market now I need to learn Fortigate. This L3 switch is awesome!

Excellent switch with premium pricing
After testing various TP-Link switches including their Omada line, I ultimately chose this UniFi switch and couldn't be happier. While TP-Link offers more budget-friendly options, their clunky interface and confusing VLAN configuration (especially with the Omada controller) left much to be desired. This UniFi switch, though pricey, delivers excellent value. The build quality is impressive - it has a satisfying heft that reflects its premium construction. Setup was remarkably smooth using the UniFi Network Controller on Ubuntu Server. It integrates perfectly with my OPNsense router/firewall and efficiently manages 5 VLANs for my servers and wireless access points. Pros: - Robust build quality - Intuitive management interface - Reliable VLAN support - Seamless POE functionality Con: - Premium pricing While the price point keeps it from a perfect score, the quality and performance make it a worthwhile investment for those seeking enterprise-grade networking equipment.

Works well as a switch and source of power.
Works well and I am happy with this one, generally.

Very handy for remote locations.
Using this paired with a mesh AP to get network extended to other buildings on a property. Poe conveniently provides power to the AP and other devices. I with it had a dedicated power supply instead of relying on the poe input though.

Piece of Junk
I bought this thinking it would be a premium solution for my home network. I couldn't be more disapointed. I've had no end of trouble with this stupid switch. First, it takes a ridiculous amount of time to boot (3-5 minutes) then it keeps dropping connections to my devices. I have a TV that turns its ethernet off and even though it would look like to port had come up, the connection wouldn't function. Then there is the SFP, that also keeps turning off. I'm going to end up replacing this stupid switch. My main reason for buying it was the 2.5 Gb POE to the U7 access point, but I'm constantly having to reboot it and other a equipment. To me this thing is junk.
