I use these to cut threads when doing chain piecing for quilts. They work great for that. Much easier on my arthritic thumb than using scissors. Base is sturdy. Stays put. I keep one at home and one in my travel quilting kit. I imagine they'll last a long time. A nice, nonplastic option.

This makes thread cutting so much easier. I use it mostly when I’m piecing for quilting, but it is excellent also for triming the beginning and loose threads of regular sewing once you’ve removed it from you machine.

Was looking at a tool similar to this that was plastic. We are trying not to purchase any plastics so when I saw these I immediately ordered them.I brought these to quilt camp and everyone fell in love with them. Several people at camp immediately ordered them too.These are less expensive than the plastic, pretty wood, and as a bonus, there was a blade in them too.Very pleased. Hope others will follow suit and stop purchasing all plastics!

The design allows you to cut your finger, which I did. Other designs have a tighter neck that doesn’t allow injuries. It works great, just be careful when handling.😊
